LIFE’S SIMPLE PLEASURES: A WALKING TOUR

As a student, going outside the house is almost a daily routine because there ate classes and other extracurricular activities to meet up with. Going out is just normal, but then I hardly ever make conscious efforts to taking a photograph to keep some beautiful memories of places and even people that I come across on my way. My exams finally ended some days ago and I feel a lot freer to go out for a walk and appreciate the beautiful view and places around me.

So during the past week after my exams ended, I did a little tour while on my way for a church program and I made sure to take some beautiful pictures. I also took some yesterday which I think looks really cool and unique in every way.

So the first image I’d be sharing is that of my school’s logo. I have always admired the design from a distance some years back when I only went there for a program and I never knew I will one day get the opportunity to have a clear photo of it as much as I wanted, hehe. The logo is one that has the Oba’s head, a book at the center and two weapons at the sides as well as a motto that says knowledge for service.

The motto : Knowledge for service simply connotes the importance and the essence of knowledge and the need to impact the right and best knowledge to the students. The book at the center shows what the logo is for (a learning institution) and as for the others, they show the root/history of the great university of Benin.

I remember the day I took a stroll a little further from where this logo is located, I found something really interesting which I’ve not see before even though I have passed through that location a couple of times. It is an image of a man who is dragging a tree he uprooted from the ground. I’m not sure how someone will be that powerful but I’m sure that must have really happened in the history of the people of Benin and it was just a cool sight to behold.

Besides other things to see while taking a stroll, I’m a huge fan of the clouds and I always make it a point of duty to always take a picture of the sky especially when it is at sunset or when the sun is at its peak. I don’t know about anyone else but I always just feel happy looking at the sky, no matter how sad I am, just looking at the clouds is enough to cheer me up, especially when it’s beautiful beyond normal.

Walking back home also got me some pictures too. Recently a building collapsed in my street, it was quite expected because the house was always giving this creepy vibe. Now you won’t even recognize the place from how it was about a week ago and how it looks now. It was a building that you’d always want to make a comment about once you see it because it doesn’t even look like where humans should live in, I was actually surprised that people lived inside.

Well, for the last images I’d be sharing, these are the cool and unique pictures I promised to share earlier. So yesterday I was already late for bible study but I already made up my mind to go for the service so I quickly got ready and went to the place I’d board a vehicle to make my journey faster. When I alighted from the vehicle, the first thing that got my attention was the beautiful view from the sky, I quickly brought out my phone to took some shots.

These were the results I got, I didn’t had to put in so much effort to make the pictures come out nice because it was already so nice on its own. So tell me, what is or are your favorite photos, do well to leave it at the comment section 🥰.
