KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

As they say, change is that one thing that is constant. Most times when I see people who try to be rigid about their opinion on something I just give them time because as we all know time proves a lot of things to us. The fact that we live in an ever changing world, it only spells one thing out to us and that is 'LEARNING'. A wise man once said, "the day you stop learning is the day you die." Even if it takes time, as long as you have life in you, there will always come that time when you have to learn.

The truth is, our every day existence is a lesson to us, just that not so many people get the lessons taught to them on a daily basis. Living a world where things just keep changing only proves to us how important knowledge is and why it is said that knowledge is power! Knowledge simply means having awareness about something or someone. For you to defeat failures, you have to be in the know because ignorance is certainly not the way, especially in a world like ours.

So if you want to have power, you don't need a physical weapon because even if you have one, you still need to know how to use it. So to have power, you need to have knowledge. Have you ever asked yourself why the world "LEARN" is spelt so? Well, common sense, it's because if you remove the first letter "L" you'd see that the word left is "EARN". And to me, that means for you to earn in anything you engage in, you first have to "LEARN". And it's from learning you get to acquire knowledge and eventually you become powerful.

Lately I've been talking so much about my journey here on hive and that's because I'm hoping that it would inspire someone somehow and also inspire me to do even better. If you are a rookie on hive and you see someone like me you might think I'm a lucky girl or I'm being favored, which I can't say there is no truth in it but then there is more to it. Just like you, I was once a rookie who had no knowledge of what Hive is and how to get by.

I was lost and confused at some point but then the moment I started seeking after knowing more about hive, things started falling into place. After I got to know a little about Hive, then I realized there were so many communities built on hive that I had to explore so I can know what works for me. It was draining and time consuming but then it was all worth it in the end. Back then when I started, I remember engaging with quite a lot of communities but there was this particular one that felt like a "no-go-area".

The leofinance community now known as the Inleo community was that one community that I thought to myself that it was not for me after trying severally to engage with it. At that point, I was so comfortable with the other communities I was already engaging with but then the Inleo community kept calling to me because it felt like I was the only one who was not a part of it. Well, if there is one thing I believe as a content creator, is that no matter what topic it is, I should be able to write something about it.

Because of that mindset I had, I was not comfortable with the fact that there was a community that I was struggling to be a part of and then I started challenging myself by reading more about the community and also engaging with different creators in the community. You know, the experience with the community was quite different from so many other communities I've engaged with before and that's because I noticed the kind of efforts most of the community members put into their contents.

If took me close to a whole year to finally agree to be a true member of the community. I had to follow the best creators and that was how I learnt a lot of things I know now. I started giving in my best to create finance related contents but then I still didn't do well at it, the struggle was real. The good part was I didn't give up, I kept learning and practicing what I learned and my knowledge kept increasing and I kept seeing the results, even though it was little.

How I got here is as a result of how much knowledge I've gathered over the few years I've spent on Hive. Compared to some, my growth was really fast but compared to others my growth is slow. For me, I'd say my growth is quite slow because I was comfortable for too long with the little knowledge that I had. There are so many things that we need to have knowledge of especially on web 3 and the few that I've gotten is all thanks to the Inleo community built on hive.

Lately I can't even mention how many people I've gotten to engage with because of the community. If there is one thing I know for sure is that, as long as I keep building with the community, I'd keep knowing more about so many things. A community that encourages her members is one that everyone would be happy to be a part of and that is the Inleo community for me. I was so reluctant to be a part of it at first because I knew nothing about it but the moment I learned more about it, I didn't waste any more time.
