HOPE WOVEN, GIFT GIVEN
I have always been grateful about my names as I have seen people who wished they had a better name but in my case, I feel so happy that my parents named me my names, hehe. For me, names are our identity and sometimes shape us and the things we prioritize just like mine. They give others an idea of the kind of people we should be and that’s why sometimes I also feel some names are worth revisiting because I think it’s beautiful when our names have meanings that we can relate with and tell our purpose or at least give us a purpose.

Why am I taking about names? And how does it relates to this week’s #kiss? Well, for me it relates so much because I believe my names have set a foundation to the things I prioritize the most. I have two names; an English name (Hope) and a native name which means (God’sgift). At first, I loved my native name more but as time passed by, I realized I lived more like Hope too even though I didn’t like using it as much as I make use God’sgift.
My three main priorities are simple. The first is to spread love genuinely. The second is to be the best version of myself and the last is to always be open to learning. These three priorities are shaping me and the more I look at them, they fit so much into my names. I have seen people give up on what love is and what love should be and it has always been my goal to make people see love for what it truly is. And this fits into my minimalism because as minimalists, most of the lifestyle we adapt to are not only beneficial to us but those around us and that for me is an act of love.

For my second priority which is become the best version of myself. This fits into my minimalism style because I’m not going to focus on all the noise around me but just on myself and the progress that I can make with each passing day. No unhealthy competitions, getting rid of unhealthy habits and lifestyles. And just being me and the best of me.
And my third priority which is, always being open to learning fits into my minimalism style as I believe that to be a good minimalist, I have to always be open to learning because there is so much to learn and so much to improve on. And besides, learning is something that brings out the best of me and also helps me understand better how to love and why it is a good thing to prioritize.
I won’t say my names are the only reasons why these are my priorities but they play a role in it. All these priorities all builds up to making me a source of hope and a gift to humanity.
Thank you for reading through. 💜

It’s my pleasure. Thanks for the good wishes. 🌹
Que bonito tu post.
Gracias, mi amiga. 🥰
I always emphasis on names because most times your name becomes "YOU" and also works for YOU. Our names alike "what is greater than God" yeah! That's the meaning of my name (Ginika).
I like your priorities, especially the learning part. Being open to learning means giving way for self growth and improvement, which is awesome.
That’s right! I’m glad you agree with me!
Thank you so much for your beautiful input. 🥰
You are welcome 🤗

Hope is truly a reminder that even the smallest spark can light up dark moments.
I agree with you! 🤗
The names you bear more than just a label,it is a reflection of your identity, heritage and value,Names evoke emotions, convey meaning and shapes percep
That’s true. 😊
To think I never thought of this as anything minimalism can be a part of, but thank you for opening my eyes.
