GETTING RID OF EXCESS SUGAR
One thing we all have to know is the fact that without sugar our body won’t be able to function well because sugar is basically what gives the body energy and to tell you how important it is, the body even has an hormone specifically designed to regulate the amount of sugar in our blood stream. Sugar is something that is present in almost every meal we take so that makes it really hard for us to do away with it completely even when we know that our body has it in excess until it becomes really severe.
Sugar is needed daily for our body to function, so when we take food our body collects the sugar (glucose) in it and distributes it to the part of our body that is deficient of it and then also stores whatever it can for later use. So the only thing we can do for ourselves is try as much as possible to make sure when we take too much sugar we let our body put it to use. So there are a some easy ways we can help our body burn sugar just like we burn fats. Just like sugar, fats also gives energy but in a more solid form and the presence of fat helps us to absorb shock.
This won’t be the first time we’ve heard of how important it is for us to exercise. Exercise is one of the most surest ways to use up unwanted sugar from the body. Most times, once we are done eating we are always tempted to just lie on the couch or on our beds and chill with our laptops or phones chatting or watching a movie or even playing a game and worst of all sleep! When we play a game or watch a movie or chat, it’s even better because at that point our brain and hands will need energy; so some amount of sugar will be used up but the latter is not advised at all.
Depending on the amount of sugar you’ve consumed, just watching a movie or playing a game or chatting might not be enough… so the best thing to do is get more of your body tissues active so they will all need (energy) sugar! And the best way is by exercising, so now you see why exercising is always advised. It’s best to exercise after a meal, not a serious exercise though so your food don’t come rushing out. You can take some time to do the dishes after you finish eating and also read a book or any of those other activities that would just make some part of your body do work to use up some sugar.
After about an hour of your meal, try to take a walk around the house or even better if you can go out. Just don’t be idle, do something to get rid of those unwanted sugar. 30 minutes is quite fair for that and then you can sleep if you want to or rest. By doing this every time you take in too much sugar, you will reduce the risk of high sugar levels. It might not be completely efficient but it will help for sure. But even as you do all these, try as much as possible to avoid instant foods.
Just as the names implies, when you take these foods or snacks, they easily get digested into the blood stream and it spikes up our sugar level quicker than normal. And the funny thing is you will still get hungry quickly too. So it’s always best to take more solid food so it can give the body more time to digest it well. Sugar is not bad, it’s just that we don’t know how to use it properly. Sadly, there are some people that already have high sugar level due to hereditary, for these kind of people, it’s always best to listen to your physician. But if you are not a diabetic patient yet, I believe this will help you to avoid being one.
In cases when you know you can’t get your body to use up sugar, it’s always best to reduce its intake so it doesn’t cause problems for you. And as a diabetic patient, even if you do this, you will still be at risk of spiking up your sugar level so it’s best to completely avoid sugary foods or drinks and take little if you have to. Personally I love sweet things but I try to balance it up and I even intentionally starve myself of some foods and drinks so it can help my body use up already stored sugar and then I refill, not with so much too.
This is my response to the hivelearners topic on ”SUGAR IS BAD”.
These is one of the best advice ever, snacks and all those soft drinks have a lot of sugar in them, cutting them off is a great idea
Yes Drey, you that use to travel a lot, you will be more prone to have snacks most times right?
This are really good points you stated here.
Going more for solid food is way better than just consuming snacks and then at the end of the day, you're not still satisfied, and also,it also add to your sugar level.
That’s right Ebass, I’m glad you agree with me ☺️. Thank you so much for stopping by

It's not so easy to avoid sugar. In my case I love sweets and I never think about leaving it. I know it's not good but it gives me satisfaction and I choose to keep taking sugar. No one can stop me except a doctor 😅.
This got me laughing to myself this morning 😂.
Well, I never said you should leave sugar, I only gave you some tips to burn them off. So enjoy your sugar until your doctor tells you to stop 🤣🤣🤣
