A STEP BACK IN TIME

Right now, with all the inventions and innovations, it all seems good and necessary but then, sometimes I wonder how life will be if some particular innovations were still yet or never discovered. Not that they don’t help or have great use, they do but then I find their disadvantages more than their advantages and it’s makes me wonder how life would be if they never came to replace the old system. Life is good and it is obvious that daily, man keep seeking for civilizations, hoping to make life easier for them than it should normally be since God has cursed them since they fell, that they will labour first before they eat.

Interestingly, a lot of people are trying to cut corners and that’s why they try to make a lot of inventions that will make them not work anymore but that hasn’t changed so much, has it? Man still work hard, much is still expected from every man out there, whether rich or poor. Despite the fact that they still have most things under control, just that one thing that is yet to be under control will be a nemesis to that man. Well, that’s to tell us how powerful and true the words of God are. You can’t cut corners when it comes to the things God has spoken.

Well, before I deviate any further, it’s the last topic for this week’s discussion in the hivelearners community and we are asked to give our choice on what we would love to bring back to existence. This question is quite tricky but interesting too. Bringing back to life something that will help us live better and not destroy us further is a bit hard to know because no one knows why they were gone in the first place but if I’ll take a wide guess of what I’ll want to come back into existence, I’ll go for our traditional way of transportation. The old way we moved from one place to another using chariots for those who are wealthy, horses, donkeys and Carmels, but it’s fine to have better ships and airplanes.

This might sound really outrageous but then, I believe if we can have this back, a lot of things will be better for us. Though hard for some of us but then, we will definitely adapt well with time. Due to the fact that we have more modern ways of moving from place to place, especially on lands, the rate of accidents has increased greatly compared to how it was before the inventions of automobiles. Now everyone wants to get their own automobiles even when they don’t have good experience of using it. To them, they plan to learn on the job and they end up destroying lives. It’s really sad whenever I see someone lose their life because of a carefree driver and it is becoming more alarming as the days go by.

And besides that, other benefits include better living. In our world today, a lot of persons hardly ever find time to do little exercises that will be good for them. Once they wake up from their beds, the only time they walk is when they do things inside their homes and the next place they see themselves is inside their cars or a fast moving train or something else. This has over time led to the discovery of new and chronic diseases. People are becoming lazy because of these automobiles and it is not helping them at all.

So, if I can bring back anything back to existence, it will be the way we move from place to place. The way our fathers did it was way better than what we have now if you ask me. Doing that also will help us appreciate people better. Unlike when we always drive privately to everywhere and it’s hard to even randomly meet people and start off a good conversation. The problem of isolation will be reduced and a lot of other things too. This doesn’t in anyway mean these inventions are not helpful, they are but these days, we use them without considering the next person and it is not nice at all.

We have lost too many lives since these automobiles were invented and the bitter truth is, it might only get worse but there is almost nothing we can do about it. Well, I’ll draw the curtain here and give room for your contribution and thoughts.
