A PLAN TO GET YOU GOING

Green Simple Modern Illustrated Financial Plan Tips Presentation_20231214_123456_0000.png

To so many, this is the time when they make all the profits to console themselves of the loss the had during the year. This is a the time of the year when people get more greed for gains because they have so many responsibilities to meet. I don't want to start talking about those parents that are now having high blood pressure because they don't see any money coming in and their children are already on their neck for their Christmas wears.

The festive season is one that despite the good it brings, the evil somehow still prevails in this time. I remember about 4 years ago when I was working in the market as a sales person, during the festive season, we were asked to always lock up early because there were people around always looking for opportunities to rob anyone that is careless. A lot of people fell victim and the worst part was, these thugs did not hid themselves, they carried out their plans in daylight.

One way to budget in December is getting prepared for it even before it comes. We all know that the festive season is a time of haste so if we don't want to get cut up in it, we have to be proactive. Like I mentioned in one of my post, knowledge is power and when we are already aware of how the festive season can be, the best thing we can do for ourselves is to prepare adequately for it before hand and not when it's already here.

That been said, let's dive deeper into the different ways to budget in December...

Avoid impulse buying

I love impulse buying, I just don't enjoy planning what to buy, I just want to see it and buy it even when I'm not sure I'd use it. Well, that changed when I started needing money for a lot of things. The fact that I loved buying impulsively made it almost impossible for me to save and if there is one thing that can help a good budgeting, it is being able to save. You can't budget when you don't know how to save. And that will bring us to the next point...

Saving no matter how little

20231214_123821_0000.png

Sometimes we easily give up on saving because we are tired of saving pennies everyday, we want to save something really huge at a time but then that's not a really good and advisable way to save. Money is something we all need and it is absurd to say you want to save a huge amount all at once, it's only a matter of time before you go back to your savings again or you go into borrowing.

You need to know the necessary expenses you cover daily, weekly and monthly. After knowing that, you need to know the minimum income you get and from there, you should be able to save a penny daily and let it accumulate over time. Don't look at it as too small because the moment you do, you will end up not going far with it. Make sure to save this penny in a place that you can't get access to easily and try not to default.

Avoid competition

Everyone of us are different in so many ways, and the worst thing you will do to yourself is competing with people. Once you start competing with others, it will be impossible for you to budget for anything. December is expensive fren and if you let what you see affect your decision, it would be hard for you to budget well.

For me, I'd say the best and surest way to budget in December, is to start budgeting right from the beginning of the new year. You don't have to wait for December before you start planning for December because December is full of so many things that can take us unaware so you want to prepare for those things even before they come.

These are just some few things that I do that helps me maintain a good budget in December. But in all of these, self discipline needs to be applied also because it is very easy to lose focus when there is no discipline. I do hope this helps someone plan better when they get another opportunity and kudos to those who have already done these things and more and are well prepared for the December.

Until next time, stay AWESOME and JIGGY!!!

I can relate with ya, that impulse buying is something I've did last month thought they've good discount on items and somehow bought more than once.. !LOL ended up spending more money and ran out of budget before the month came to an end.

That's good thing to avoid and I'm sure with this budget plan you can do a lot better.

Hahaha, it's not really easy and that's where self discipline comes in. Impulse buying is mostly how most businesses grow because they give people more reasons to get things they don't even need because of the discounts, hehe

Thank you so much for your contribution, I enjoyed reading it 🥰

I think I agree with you when you mentioned about stopping impulse buying. I am not completely free from this but I am trying my best to minimize it.

I think you are doing great, because it's not easy. Most times it's good to go to the market with someone that don't like the things you like so they can easily discourage you from buying so many unnecessary things.

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment ❤️

I think in the time of December the cost of us increase automatically and somehow we cost more than our budget. I noticed it many times. Competition is a very bad habit in the case of buying and I think we should try to avoid it as much as we can otherwise we may suffer huge loss for it. I have seen many incidents in front of my eyes and so I know the consequences of it very well.

In my area, there are some places we avoid going to during this time of the year because of the rate at which thugs Rob people of their belongings, I guess festivity does comes with some desperation. for some people they don't mind going extra miles to hurt others in order to get what they want.

I believe it in illogical for someone to engage in unnecessary competition, everyone should learn to cut their coat according to their size. Buying things in Order to feel among or look luxurious will only result to debt, the worst case scenario is such person will start their new year paying off debts.

At this time of the year it is really difficult to save because there is so much to do, it takes a lot of will power to save during festive period.

we want to save something really huge at a time

This is what I had been doing before I learnt how to save better. I thought it would be best to save huge or don't save at all 😅

This period is full of evil even the old market women commit evil with how they increase prices on goods they bought cheaper.

Hopefully, we will all get over this season without going into debts or lacks. Nice points shared.

You don't have to say we know who you be Normally 🤧.

Well, I'm very sure we will survive without going into debt, let's just try as much as we can to make do of what we have.

Thank you so much for your contribution, I'm grateful 🥰

That is not being evil, is business and economics. When demand rise, prices rise as well. She needs to make previous losses or debt or credit to sustain her business. The word evil is really wrongly employed. She risk loosing your business if she rise the price too much, and you can always go to another supplier, they don't know you, they don't do it to you. If you needed that item, you could have bough it offseason.

Okay, let's say the word evil is way too much for it.
I get your point.

Why does it feel like this is for me? Lol. Budgeting is always my problem as I love to go shopping, especially now that we can access it easily online. And of course, it will always end up not saving any. Thanks for the ideas. I think I should go change my bad habits. 😅

Hahaha, I love the fact that you are being honest to yourself and I think that's the first step to fixing your spending habits, hehe.

It's not going to be easy so don't rush into stopping yourself at once, you can take it a step at a time so it will be effective.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your beautiful contribution 🥰

Yeah XMass is a stressful time for businesses but also very rewarding. I heard businesses that made most of the year losses on that couple of weeks. !Luv

Of course it is rewarding for businesses, it is those that patronize these businesses that I'm more concerned about 😂

😄I do save but I always want to put something big in my savings but at the end I end up not saving much. I will have to try saving every little penny this coming year.

Yeah you should, I'm sure that would go a long way if you don't tamper with those little pennies for a whole year
