A PATH UNFOLDING…
Being a minimalist definitely comes with some benefits and most of these benefits are the reasons why adopting minimalist lifestyle wasn’t really a negotiable one, I just knew it was what I wanted. It started off with me being curious about what minimalism meant. I saw some definitions and I doubted if I really wanted to accept this lifestyle. Some people have this stigma towards minimalism that almost rubbed off on me but luckily for me, I sort to seek for what minimalism truly means and I found a whole lot of interesting things.
Embracing minimalism has been a really good choice for me and that’s because I have become more intentional and diligent in the things I do. I get confused sometimes of what I have to do but the moment I remember my aim as a minimalist, it pushes me to do the things that I have to do and do them well. Life can be really interesting sometimes and you feel so busy that you forget about all the amazing things, people and everything around you. But being a minimalist changes that about you. Being a minimalist has made me more aware of the things I have been blessed with and how to be more grateful.
There was once a time in my life when I struggled with appreciating the things in my life, the people and the numerous blessings. I always felt like I needed one more of this and that before I’d be grateful. Well, all that has changed now. For everything I get, I feel grateful for it because I know that a lot of persons are praying earnestly for something even lesser than what I have been given. I have also learn to appreciate those in my life that has impacted me in one way or another when I get the opportunity and not waiting for a grand gesture or something.
This lifestyle has helped me see the great impact of those little things around me. I’m always tempted to wait for a time when I get the best things first before feeling at peace with myself. I pursue after the big things and ignore those little things forgetting that those little things are what amount to the big things. It took me a while but minimalism pointed me in the right direction and I saw the light. It has taught me how to take one step at a time and achieve even better results over time than taking multiple steps at a time and achieving something that won’t last at all.
If I’d pick three main reasons that made me adopt minimalist practices, it would be for productivity, appreciation and peace of mind. Since I adopted being a minimalist, I have become more productive than I was. I don’t lazy around for too long anymore and I find myself achieving so much in a short time. Also, this lifestyle has also given me more reasons to be more appreciative of things and people and I just love it. And lastly, it gives me more motivation to do away with anxiety and worries. I mostly feel at peace with myself after taking some time to count my blessings.
There are definitely other reasons but these three are already more than enough to choose this lifestyle and I’m happy I did.
This is my response to the #kiss for this week and I’m so happy to share this with you. ❤️

Choosing simple and minimalist life seems hard at first, but when you started to live with it, everything is so light. You also started not to chase material things.
Well, I'll say we get stronger as we go, hehe. And yes, you don't focus too much on just anything but the necessities of life.
Thanks for your comment. ❤️
