I can relate :) Any recommendations for Vienna? I'm actually visiting in May and don't want to do the classic museum-hopping.

I was there in 1977. No idea how much has changed. I loved the big parks, especially Schoenbrunn. There was a cool little clock museum tucked away in a twisty turny part of the city, quite different from your average big museum.
