The Catalan club reserved 20 percent of a possible sale that the Verdiblanco club has closed for 2.5 million with Al-Shamal SC of Qatar after playing on loan at Al-Kholood of Saudi Arabia.
Real Betis Balompié announced this Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with Qatar's Al-Shamal SC for the transfer of 26-year-old midfielder Àlex Collado, a deal that will take effect in the first week of July.

Although the green-and-white club did not make public the figures of the operation, the Qatari club will pay 2.5 million for the left-footer from Sabadell, so Barça, who retained 20 percent of a possible sale when they let him leave for free to Betis in 2023, will receive 0.5 million, a financial pinch that adds to other income from this market such as Álex Valle (6 for his sale to Como), Jean-Clair Todibo (8.5 for his definitive sale to West Ham from Nice) and Ilaix Moriba (600,000 euros for his also definitive transfer to Celta from Dortmund), to which must be added the savings from the record of Clément Lenglet, who goes for free to Atlético.
The Catalan midfielder, who signed for Betis in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Al-Kholood in Saudi Arabia. Last season, in the 2023-24 season, Collado made 33 league appearances there and one Cup appearance, scoring four goals and providing four assists. In the 2024-25 season, he made 30 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists. Former Betis players Rodri and Sabaly also play in the Qatar Stars League.
