Barça believes that with the transfers they will generate the necessary fair play.
Hi community!
The club's plan to sign Joan Garcia and Nico Williams, whose signing is already on track, involves selling Ansu Fati, Pau Víctor, Pablo Torre, Iñaki Peña, Christensen, Oriol Romeu, and/or Ter Stegen.
There is no need for a big sale, but the case of Araujo, whose release clause drops to €60 million on July 1, is on the table, although it would depend on the Uruguayan player.

The signing of Nico Williams to Barça is more than on track. There is a personal agreement between the club and the Navarrese winger for the next six seasons, until 2031, and now they just need the player to deposit the €58 million buyout clause, around €64 million including taxes, and then register him in LaLiga. And to find a place in financial fair play, the Camp Nou club needs to lighten the salary pile with transfers.
Barça doesn't see the need for a major sale. The club maintains that with the departures of Ansu Fati, Pau Víctor, Pablo Torre, Iñaki Peña, Andreas Christensen, Oriol Romeu, and Ter Stegen, they will be able to cover the registration fees for Nico Williams and Joan Garcia. Much remains to be done, but there is optimism that agreements can be reached.
The most complicated case of all is that of the German goalkeeper, who remains firm in his position of extending his contract until 2028. Ansu Fati is reactivating contact with Monaco, although there is no agreement, and negotiations over his salary are proceeding slowly. The rest of the players are moving to find a destination, although there is no progress at the moment. There is no formal offer yet, but there is a willingness.
A major sale is not contemplated, but the case of Araujo in particular could also help. On July 1, his release clause drops to €60 million for 15 days, but this option will not be pursued if the player is unwilling to leave the club. Several clubs have expressed interest in the past, including Bayern Munich.
In his recent statements, Araujo has expressed his support for staying. Hansi Flick refused to sell him last winter when Juventus wanted to sign him. The club ended up renewing his contract until 2029 with that release clause. He hasn't been a regular starter, and the manager's opinion on his role next season will be important.
