Hi community!

According to the RFEF, the Barça player leaves the hospital after being admitted for viral meningitis.

Good news for women's football. The Spanish Football Federation announced this Sunday that Aitana Bonmatí has been discharged from the hospital and will join the national team coached by Montse Tomé in the coming days.

The Barcelona player was admitted to a Madrid hospital last Friday after being diagnosed with viral meningitis, which raised concerns about her participation in the European Championship in Switzerland, which starts this week. But ultimately, depending on her progress, Aitana is not ruled out and could even play in some European Championship matches with La Roja.

The Barcelona player has been discharged from the hospital and will now continue the treatment prescribed by doctors. They will continue to monitor her progress with the hope that she can rejoin the group in the coming days, but with caution, depending on how she progresses.

As expected, Aitana will not be traveling with the expedition this Sunday, when the transfer to Lausanne, La Roja's base camp for the European Championship, is scheduled. Spain will debut against Portugal on Thursday, July 3, at 9 p.m. at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern, a match for which Aitana is completely ruled out.

Remember that the RFEF has until 24 hours before her debut in the competition, that is, until next Wednesday, to replace the two-time Ballon d'Or winner. If this is not done by then, Spain would no longer be able to make the exchange. Seeing that Aitana has left the hospital and there has always been a lot of pressure regarding her recovery, it is possible that it won't be necessary to replace her and that the Barcelona player could join the Euros in Switzerland later. All of this, however, depends on how she recovers from the meningitis that initially raised so many eyebrows.

Aitana herself posted a message on her official 'x' account to reassure fans and confirm that she is slowly recovering from meningitis. "Thank you all for the messages I've received and to those who have helped me these past few days. Fortunately, everything is going well. I hope to be back soon," reads her message on the social network.

See You soon!
