Noise cancelling headphones never work. They can't remove the noise in my head.

It make things even worse sometimes too.

Although I use earplugs quite often(usually when I have migraine), but if your earplugs are very good(especially wax ones) - you can actually hear beating of your heart, your intestines working away. So disturbing. And very surreal.

I hate the sound of my own heart. It make me remember I'm human, fragile, and so close to death at any given moment. :D
