Man in the middle type attacks even happen in real-estate here in Australia. :D
Criminals target the settlement lawyers and send an email from their domain, saying that the bank details have changed, or, alter the existing templates on their devices, so the funds get funnelled to other accounts.
It is pretty crazy the level of sophistication that some of these "scams" have, but what is more crazy is that so much of it would be completely avoided if people just paid attention.
Instead, they pay in other ways, like losing productivity ;)

Yes you need to be aware all the time because this is going to increase.
