Part of the reason why we can't use "vision boards" for things that... many people don't really think matter is because people, for some reason, are uncomfortable being viewed as the above gif.
I just don't care how people perceive me. I love to disappoint them. That is why I take pretty much no pride in my outward appearance, smile as people cross the street to avoid me, and then knock 'em dead with stimulating intellectual discussion, betraying their initial judgement of my character based on things that don't matter.

I love it, you're my kind of people!
You sound extremely down to earth and it comes through your writing too.
My bulletin board, which I guess is a vision board of sorts is just simple things. Not riches & fane and stuff like but things to keep my mind on & more optimistic outlook— not positivity. It's impossible to maintain positivity 100% of the time & I dislike the toxic positivity jargon.
And yes, bees, clean air, water etc.
Plus "do these things" and "don't do these things" for projects I'm working on.
It's a hodge podge. 😂
Oh—
I don't mind if they view me like that. The above gif is an exaggeration of how people that know me well see me anyway. I just laugh & take it in stride.
The chalkboard in my brain is so caked with the dust of past ideas that most people wouldn't dare enter without a P3 respirator. :D
You're giving me inspiration now for a number of things.
I recently watched a YouTube video which reinforced a point I'd always thought of - "weeds", ecologically are just plants that we deem to be problematic or annoying.
At my old house, where I had a highly visible "garden", full of weeds, I'd just reply that by letting it grow wild, I was offsetting carbon emissions. :)
I want to write something about that, I'll add it to the chalkboard.
There's gold in your mind chalkboard!
I couldn't agree more about weeds!
I'ld rather have a yard full of beneficial for pollinators and me native plants than beds full of ornamentals with little or no use to our local ecosystems.
The beds in the back of the house I've let go wild & starting to let other parts of my yard go wild with added wild flower seed. The front of our house is on going project— my husband is needing a lot of convincing to let the front go wild. I'm constantly pitching native low growing ground covers for pollinators and stuff like that. Happy to say though, no chemicals are used on the grounds around my house. He tried though but finally understood where I was coming from.
Is your YouTube under your Hive handle? I'ld like to watch it!
Definitely add it to your chalkboard! I'll look forward to reading it.
There's nothing profound on my YouTube - just replays of when I used to stream video games. But I want to change that, and tie it more to my own identity. Some of these stories I've written, I want to read them out loud and put them wherever they can go.
I'll start with the one I'm writing at the moment. I'm struggling with the conclusion, because I feel like I made the start too good. :D
