THIS WEEK'S PROMPT

Title: That One Embarrassing Moment I’ll Never Forget

We all have had a moment that makes us cringe, kind of. A moment where you just pray the ground would open and swallow you, a moment you just wish something would happen and distort whatever is going on presently. I'm talking about those embarrassing moments you recall and laugh about now.

Here's a snapshot from my life.

I had a teacher when I was in school; she happens to be someone I knew from home. But one thing led to another, and she and my mom have issues. That same week, she sent someone to call me from my class. I didn't know why she wanted to see me, and I didn't even think back to what happened between her and my mom. On getting to the class she was taking, she handed me the marker and asked me to go ahead and solve a problem on the board. The funniest part is, it was even a junior class, me that I don't like maths, especially when I see anything like a triangle, trapezium, and the likes. I wanted to talk, but I couldn't; I was just stammering. She did it intentionally; she knew I wasn't good in math at all. My mom had embarrassed her earlier that week, and she chose to embarrass me later in the week too. 😁. That was one of the many embarrassing moments for me in school. The woman didn't say a word; she just asked me to go, but you trust what junior students can be like...

So, let's hear from you too. Think back to a moment in school, one that was embarrassing; maybe you were caught off guard, your instinct already told you something would happen, or you just found yourself in that situation. How did the incident make you feel? What happened after?

You know what, here is obviously a safe space. So, go ahead and tell your story; feel free to laugh at yourself as well; we are patiently waiting to hear from you.
