It's another amazing week, and you know what that means - it's the 5th edition of the weekly prompt to spark your creativity and get those ideas flowing in. Hive Student Connect is a community where students on Hive share their blogs. It is a vibrant space for Hive students to engage, learn, connect, and collaborate to grow and develop.

We have been students before, especially those who have graduated, and those currently in school; we sure do have commitments aside from being students in school. Going to school to study and come out with successful grades wasn't and isn't the only thing on our plate. Many of us juggle other responsibilities, be it part-time jobs, learning a skill, family duties, side hustles, social life, church activities or even personal hobbies. We invite you to think and share how you manage all of these without being a distraction to others. While chasing after your academics, did it affect your other commitments or vice versa?

Think about your typical day. Perhaps you have a routine that helps you create and manage your time effectively for both your study and other responsibilities, or maybe you go to work in the evening after lectures, while the mornings are meant for reading. Are/were you involved in campus activities, or fellowship, or even a club, and you have found the perfect way to allocate your time between meetings, assignments, tests, exams and your personal life.

Let's say, for example, "During exam season, I wake up earlier than usual to read my notes before going out to work. It is not easy, but one thing I have learnt is to prioritise and plan to save myself from unnecessary delays or last-minute stress. On weekends, I dedicate my evenings to learn a skill and also spend time with my family so I don't feel guilty about neglecting them."
