What Is Religion?| MCGI Topic Review

Greetings brethren,

Watching the video of brother Eli made the explanation of religion as to worship. This was rooted in the bible and this was like just a wake-up call to all christians.

The idea that religion isn't just something just like a ritual or perfomance out of worshipping God but it's a foundation and a grounding for a christian. Brother Eli mention from the bible that would define religion as a way of serving god with honesty, sincerity, with passion and integrity.

This has showed us how we see faith. This is not about going through motions or showing emotions or acting too spiritual or claiming a title as a christian or someone that worships God. It is about living in a way that pleases God.

James 1:26 says that if we don't control our tongues, speaking careless or spreading hate, our religion is in vain. So this scripture reminds me of how easy we all can just fall for bad habits or thinking negatively thinking is not a big deal but when we really undermine the world the worship we offer to God then it's a big deal.

True religion has taught me in the John 13 vs 15, it's not just about going to church for services, it's about how we live our day-to-day life, how we speak to others who are not in our religion, how we act. Doing all that and how we treat our others around us this encompasses. It is about pouring our hearts to doing the commandments of God and being obedient.

The way that we exist in this world, we are living our lives, we are building and the church itself is a university which is often called as religion, but in fact it's not a place for people to live a religious life. Religion teaches us how to communicate with friends to communicate with family, to get together and to talk to each other about love and faith.

This is an important aspect in the church which is a very significant aspect of the church. Why some worship animals or man-made images which all these things are lies in God's eyes?

This is the powerful reminder today that we should check and prioritize our faith more than any other thing else or works of life. Ask yourself, are you chasing the right thing that pulls you towards God or you are chasing the wrong thing that pulls you away from God?

Worship God authentically. This teaching is just a call to action to all Christians. A good and pure religion isn't about being loud. You have to be humble and rooted in love for God and also others around us. It's about living with purpose, knowing that everything we do on earth will be judged by God.

But the early words have really inspired me to be mindful and obedient to the commandment of God and to seek the church of God as a place where true worship should be cultivated. It's not about being easy but the path is not easy but it's worth working.

At last we will be happy to live a life of meaning centered on God only.
