Imagine living your life for a moment, no notification, no endless scrolling on social media, no looking at the screen, just you, your thoughts versus the world around you. This might sound hard for the new generation, but just imagine. You spent 48 hours without your phone or any gadget. Do you know that your mind might be transformed quickly?
Those gadget phones we use constantly is disorganizing our lives. It is pulling our mind away. From the present moment and distracting us always. So those gadgets, they interrupt our focus. They distort our sleep and sometimes hinder us from living our best life. So if you can take a short break from this noise caused by the digital world, then you can see a great effect in your life.
So picture just a day without texting anyone, without scrolling on social media, without engaging on Netflix. At first, it might feel very hard, strange, not the usual thing to do. The first day sometimes you feel restless. You try to reach out your phone because that is your normal habit. But the second day, something will shift. When you focus on other things like cleaning your apartment, taking on offline jobs and physical jobs. Don't stress yourself applying emails or chats or looking for who is liking your posts or social media.
That night, I bet you sleep well. And you sleep deeper, even in weeks. It is said that science backs this up. That the time spent on your screen can disrupt your sleep. When you fast digitally, your brain gives you a chance to keep resetting, improve memory and leave you refreshed always.
I know you will not realize how much your device is controlling you and your mind because you are already addicted to it. But when you spend 48 hours without accessing this device, it is a better gift to give to yourself. I know it might not be easy and it is very hard because most of us are making money through this device now. But sometimes just try it and see how effective your mind is. You stay calmer, you are more focused, you are more inspired.
