The Church Is Not For Materialism.
The church should not be built on materialism
Materialistic gospel will produce greedy people. The church must be built on the revelation of Christ as Lord and our duty is to be an extension of kingdom.
When Peter gets to the gate called beautiful and says silver and gold, I have none, the only reason we can justify that statement is that there is such that he has that can heal the man. But if you don't have such as he has and you also don't have silver and gold, then there is a problem. There are people who are not in need of "rise up and walk", they are in need of silver and gold, and it is still kingdom, when we have it.
What does kingdom mean?
When Jesus said "Thy kingdom come", it means let there be an infiltration, an overhauling of your experience, and bring the experience of heaven down here that if someone meet you as a Christian while you are still on earth, they will experience through you what it means to be in heaven. That is kingdom come.
You cannot deal with all this being poor. What we deal with is materialistic gospel not the prosperity of the righteous, particularly for those who know what to do. It doesn't matter how powerful your Christian life is, if you don't have finance for the tools to make it look excellent and acceptable, the spread of the gospel through you is defeated.
When the devil can defeat you as a believer, he will defeat the spreading of the gospel through you, and the way he does that is to make sure that the believer don't believe in the means.
