Nigerias Transport Business: A Hustle I Admire.

There is something that makes you wonder when you see some people succeeding in their business. You feel like, wow, that is incredible.

For me, the business that I envy so much, when I see people progressing in it, is transportation. Especially in my country, Nigeria, where everywhere is busy and people are moving every day. The transportation business is one of the businesses that captivates me. And I really love those who are into this business, because they really help people too much.

Transportation business is the one that I've never tried, and probably might never try. But I'm so fascinated by the great shared determination of people who keep Nigeria moving, literally. They are the ones that make people move from place to place.
From riding a car there in Nigeria, to down for drivers, to those three last... and transport companies. I must say, this industry is the backbone of the country, and it is a world I admire from afar.

In Nigeria, my country, the transportation business isn't just about driving or moving people from place to place. It's just a colorful way and survivor strategy. Take the road transport, for example. You see buses of different colors. They are dodging, hawkers, making noise, or calling on passengers to come and hop in so that they would take them from different positions to another.

They drive by shouting at different locations, and looking for interested passengers to hop in so that they can move them from one place to another. It's not just about driving, it's multitasking. They know every shortcut, every places, the traffic pattern of every area.

And some make it work desperate through a scarcity. Bad roads, or those officers walking around trying to take a bride from there. That kind of hustle for me is on the next level. Then there are these other drivers in my country.

Those are the motorcycle drivers. They know how to zip through narrow streets where cars can't go. When it is raining or shining, they are out there looking for passengers. Those that deliver food or even sacks of yarn.

It is risky, accidents aren't rare. It is risky.
Accidents sometimes are inevitable, and the government ban in some states make it tougher. Yet they keep going, afraid by the need to feed their family and put shelters on them. And also being their own boss and self-employed. I admire their courage to face those challenges daily.

Okay, let's talk about the drivers too. They blow my mind. These guys load trailers with coals, maybe wires. And they move from the south, like river states, to the north. And some move from the north, also, to the south-south or the south-west. Let's say someone loading a bag of fire from a car, not furniture. And drive across different states by road. That can be downright dangerous. They deal with checkpoints, breakdowns, and long lines. Away from home. Some stayed all day on the way to the family with their destination.

It is glamorous. It is very vital. And their resilience is what inspires me. What I love most about Nigeria's agricultural business is that is the high spirit behind it. These aren't just folks with degrees or with big bank accounts or big money accounts. They are just everyday people. That is turning their sweat and labour into success.

You see them hustle hard. Negotiate for a fair transport. And they build communities like motor park unions. Look out or reach out to people. It's a very tough gig. And I know I don't want, I don't have the stamina or nerves to jump into that world.

But I mean all of those who do. To anyone in Nigeria that's into the transportation business. You are the real MVPs. You keep the country's force beating. You keep moving people from point A to point B without stress. And your hustle reminds us all that when we are determined to do something, we can make it happen.

And make it, make our success from it. I will only stick to cheering you on. Maybe from the passenger seat. But when I see you, your drive inspires me to keep pushing in my own way.

For the road transport businesses owners.
Keep moving Nigeria forward. You are doing something truly amazing.
Thank you.

Transportation business in Nigeria is not an easy one.
Sometimes those danfo drivers always have to settle some area boys or thugs that might want to disrupt their business, they would have to give them money from their own pocket.
