MCGI TOPIC REVIEW: Why did the house of prayer in Jerusalem become a den of thieves? (Part 3 of 3)
Still on the topic of the house of God, which Brother Eli is giving us a deep teaching of the destruction of Jerusalem's temple at the rise of the eternal house of God, we were told that the Roman army, which was led by General Titus, decided to destroy the temple by leaving no stone unturned.
This is like a prophecy being fulfilled. The house of God is a place of prayer, but it was destroyed. And the plan of God and the prophecy was not cut short.
So Brother Eli gives us an insight that in 1 TIMOTHY 3:5, we read that the church of God is the house of God and is the pillar and the ground of the truth. Unlike those temples, we have spiritual houses that are built by Christ. From the scripture of MATTHEW 16:18. The spiritual house is indestructible. This house is where the gate of Hell cannot prevail against it at all.
We have made emphasis on EPHESIANS 3 10, which gives us an important hit on the divine purpose of the church, which is to manifest God's wisdom in heavenly powers. In order to be in eternity with God and to govern the christ and to be guided by christ which is the high priest of the church.
The church is not just a material torture but it's a living body of believers. We are beginning to see a shift right now from just a house of prayer to a house that prays. As christians the house of God is where we offer prayers and we continue to live in God's truth.
This teaching is here to inspire believers to know our role in the internal church which is standing in the faith of God, not swayed by worldly powers or material things but being committed to the everlasting purpose of God.
