Breaking Free From Procrastination's Grip
Time is like a fast flowing river, it keeps flowing. Whether you are ready or not the clock keeps ticking.
I used to be the king of procrastination. I always love to postpone projects every now and there while scrolling through funny videos or social media became a normal thing for me.
But something happened that made me to rethink my life and how I use my time. I had to miss the deadline of course that I was excited to take on. I kept on procrastinating on doing the assignments that was given to me. That moment made me to regret a lot. I got a wake-up call to start taking things serious and do things with emergency.
Was I procrastinator? Yes but am I trying to improve? yes I was trying to improve and I would say I'm in a work in progress. I have not overcome it fully but I'm still trying to improve. I have started creating a simple to-do list and trying to prioritize my day and really helped me in my journey to success.
Time moves very fast. That 24 hours is being used well, it can produce a lot for you, sometimes I break my thoughts into small bits of work, take it step by step and when I finish my schedule early. I love going back to a small book reading book, just calling out a friend or a family member to catch up on the trend that updates on life.
What did I see as a waste of time? This is a question, for me the waste of time is just social media distractions. That has been the top of the list of the generation, sometimes it fits from the beat, but too many hours of spending on social media has left me me with nothing but just a sore thumb and zero progress with an empty brain. And I also avoid watching a television.
I set a timer and I very fast without over thinking of things too much. Time is too precious and you don't have to waste it or let it slip away from my hands always. You have to treat each day as a very precious gift that when wasted might not come again.
You have to focus on what really moves you forward procrastination can really keep you stuck in a place for months years and at the end you've seen that you've wasted your life and your days. You don't have to panic. If you're still procrastinating, start small task today watch how it unfolds.
Remember time waits for no one but you can choose to ride on this wave.

Procrastination takes more than it gives which makes it very bad for you as an individual, glad you were able to overcome it.
I couldn’t have agreed more with what you said. We need to focus on what moves us forward and not backward.
