I remember my first job as a 17 year old. I showed up at this giant man's office, probably six times smaller than him, and the way he looked at me from above, he must have wondered, "What does this tiny sick kid want a job for"? So someone took me to him and asked him to give me a job because I had just graduated from high school and needed to support myself. I do not remember him asking if I could do the job or not; he must have seen the desperation in my eyes and asked a few questions about why I was so small and sickly. I told him I was strong, but the truth was, I wasn't; all I needed was money. I worked there for a year or two, and I grew into the job; the man taught me everything I needed to know, and despite the fact that I only wanted to collect the money without doing the work, I ended up loving the job as much as I loved collecting the money ...

Achieving intelectually original stuff is my coping mechanism to avoid staring into the abyss for too long, as if pursuing love would free me from the shackles of a numbing reality. Maybe I just wanted to be in love because it agitates my brain. Aren't these just just another coping mechanism? Another way to drain the brain from resources? the same as doing drugs recreationally. Why can't I be comfortable with life? ...
