Are solar panels starting to make their way to Nigeria yet? I know some "off the grid" friends in Arizona (US); it just takes a few panels to charge marine batteries to run mini-fridges and radios all day. There should be programs where old "replaced" panels are sent to countries in need... as studies have shown that some panels can still produce at 90% or more even when they are 20 years old.

Solar panels are actually starting to make their way to Nigeria but the problem is that it's very expensive. So an average Nigerian might not be able to get one. Had it been it was affordable, I believe most people will not even worry about the epileptic power supply as they will all start using the solar panels. I just hope our leaders will see what the masses are passing through and help out.
