what do you define as failure?, to most persons the word failure sends a shocking waves down their spine, and they would rather cast and bind than experience it, but the truth about it is that it's inevitable, no matter how hard you try
the hard truth remains that humans will always learn from their experience, it is a common facts that experience is the best teacher, why, the reason been that after that experience there should be a lesson you ought to learn from that encounter, not just to dust your shirt and go again but pause to think for a moment what really happened despite all my plans and strategies it still didn't work out why, what did I do wrong, maybe of I hard try this other way it would have been better, these questions and more opens you up to learn and unlearn, instead of throwing blames around.
The land is not always greener on the other side, the grass is green where it is watered the most~
there are people who naturally believe that if they leave the shores of Nigeria their lives will drastically change over night, this is so because they blame the economy, the government, their state, the family, their upbringing the circumstances surrounding them, blaming everything except themselves, yes the chances are slim the odds are low here instead the chances are better else where, true! and we are so condition to believe that something is wrong here are and its better else where, neither of these are the problem, the solution lies within.
I am a person given to curiosity and as it is said curiosity is the mother of invention, of everything you see today they were once and idea in someone's mind, every innovation and invention was just an idea in the mind of a man or a woman, some sort of discomfort led to them thinking is there no way this can be done differently?, something at some point happens and they pause to think wait a minute what if? this and this can be attached together and because of that this will be and they dare to try.
Fears of The unknown~
at some point I figured out that every body in this life knows what to do, every body is wise in their own eyes, that led me to conclude that no body is a fool, never underate anybody, somehow circumstances and situations had limited them and causing them to act in a certain way, right there you know what to do if the right amount of money hits your account now, as Nigerians we are gifted and highly talented people such that if we should get the necessary support there's no way anything can stop us, but then the other way round is the case, that's how so many dreams die unfulfilled, but then this is life, no body is coming to save you the earlier you realise that the better, so you have to get up and get on with whatever idea, thoughts, imagination that's in your heart, fears of the unknown is what have limit a lot of persons this is the root cause of stagnation and limitations in so many areas. will I succeed, what if it doesn't work, what if I fail, what are the chances, are the odds in my favor?....
Where there's problem don't complain "THINK" that's how to make money~
one thing I've consciously kept to me growing up is to find out how people succeed, I really do not care about the cars and houses and nice outfit, I really want to know their stories, their behind-the-scene struggles, their years of disappointment, rejection, frustration, failures, stress, sleepless nights, lonely days with no one to cheer them up, I want to get close to them to learn how they kept faith alive.
Believing and knowing so so well that definitely one day if they hang on on it more it will surely be, what's that daring mindset in them? how did they over come? what's their story?, believe me every body at somepoint faces this set backs, it doesn't matter how fortunate they were or their family backgrounds, there is this internal energy that kept them on their feet till they fulfill destiny, I really don't care about the applause of men but the stories behind the smile.
so if you're still scared to initiate that idea, if you're still unsure when to begin, if you still fill it's not the right time, probably still waiting for perfect timing when its all clear to engage then I'm really sorry if Nigeria never gets better, if you never hear from that uncle, if the visa is denied again, if someone got away with all your lives savings because you heard there's a greener pasture somewhere, I'm sorry if your dream and high hopes were smashed on the ground right before your face, if you cried all night fasted for months, did all you knew but still no change. know this ...No one is coming to safe you, you've got to figure it out NOW.
there's no better time, whatever idea you have please I beg you start anyhow figure it out as you go, you don't learn to drive in a packed car, don't be scared, you will surely fail the first time and many times more, failure is the road to perfection, don't just fail, fail purposefully learn dust your shirt and go again, restrategise , go back to the drawing board try again. one day you will tell the story of how you over came!.
