what's your definition of SUCCESS

most times I've hard several thought about this myself, been trying to figure it out because most times I seem to be confused at what people define as success...

you can agree with me that what the average person define as success are the luxury cars, homes, private jet, jewelry, landed properties, expensive gadget, expensive lifestyle and many others aspect of what the wealthy lifestyle can afford, so if for instances you ask Google what is success under the image category what you will get as answer is a young handsome man in his luxury car, wearing expensive watch with his laptop or tab wearing a sunglasses looking out the window, so by default we've accepted this as what success is, like I said somehow I've been battling with this over time cause my guts disagrees with everybody take on that and so been trying to coin out what really is success

I'm glad to be part of a thriving community @indiaunited for coming up with such out-of-the-box writing prompt for this week to ignite our think faculty as to what we all call success ..

so you see because of how the society defines success to be, by all I've mentioned above, many of us feel unsuccessful, because you haven't bought that house, that car, that expensive gadget or what ever high-end expectation we have, we think we're not there yet becauseof these, no that's wrong mindset imposed upon us by society....

like I said I'm of a different opinion to what success really is, because I feel true success isn't quantify by all of the material possessions one has, maybe because of my own perception to life thus my stance is different in that, I believe that no matter how wealthy I am that shouldn't really be measured by my possessions or how expensive what I wear or drive is, but by the impact I'm able to make to those around me, where ever I found myself there should be a presence, something to feel my impact that I was there, to me this is life, cause no matter how wealthy one is the day they leave this life another takes over and its just a matter of time it's all wasted or forgotten ..

and so there for I define success to mean one being able to attend a stature of mastery over a particular thing

what we call or define as success isn't success per se rather it's just an attribute of being wealthy, so a person have all he had because he is wealthy not because he is successful, the wealth he has can be hereditary, some transgenetional wealth or money gotten by some illegal means that's not success?,

success is a measure, its a level one attend by becoming excellent at what he or she does, it's a mastery level, so I can say I'm truly successful as a pastry chef when I can beat my contemporaries in the field, I can say I'm a successful singer, song writer, music producer, a successful surgeon, a medical doctor, a lawyer an engineer, whatever it is, I can beat my chest and say I am successful when it comes to my field of endeavor I am found among the best of the best, that my name is ranked top of the leader board because by practice or by number of cases won or issues solved or battles won I can be accord the honor of being outstanding, dignified, distinguished and crowned as a successful person and the best,

now that's true success, that feeling you get when deep down you know it's not just by words of mouth or naysayers but by diligent, consistent steadfast hardwork you are really what they say you are, validated by your proof-of-work.
