Vibes web³ Music Competition wk35 || REVIEWS
Hello everyone in the @vibes web3 music community, hope we all have a great time, as is our culture here in the vibes community for the just concluded week 35 we saw a lot of exceptional entries that are even hard to judge cause all of these entries trust me are wonderful in some very unique way, but as we all know in every competition there must be a winner among winners...
A lot of person will think there's some sort of favoritism play here or some sort of luck or whatever, the truth is, the winning margin here could very very slim almost unnoticeable by some people on the surface level, even when all winning criteria were duely followed but then there is always an edge to the winner something extra that others never thought of, it could be some personal styling or just an extra tip of energy into the art...
So in these review I will diligently going through all selected winners in their category and without biased give an honest opinion of them and their winning position.....
A little about rules of a competition, you see, they are like guiding principles to winning, so if you must win, you must follow carefully every tiny details of what is spelt out not living any stone unturned however your own personal extra must be added, they are like spices to a meal to bring out a different flavor even when basics ingredients were present.
Our number one guy on the list and overall winner @themex I did some digging in the background and without a doubt he got it 100%....
First of all he followed the theme of the week which happens to be #EDM... even i didn't get this straight at first until now
Let's clarify on that first
EDM, which stands for Electronic Dance Music, is a broad genre encompassing various subgenres of music produced and played using electronic instruments and digital production techniques, it is characterise by strong danceable beat, rhythmic pulse and often suses repetitive hypnotic rhythms.
After listening to @themex I observed the flows, the pitch, the reeves, the high notes and the energy he exert in it, this was carefully planned out, then I did a look out on the song "Without you by David guetta, this song was produced 13 year ago and I will tell you why themex dug it up was because it aligns perfectly with the theme of the week, after i listened to the original version I really understood what EDM means not reading about it and why he chooses the song..
Secondly apart from studio works I would hardly differentiate between ushers voice and themex without vituals, after I listened to the original version I knew he deserves the winning by all margin possible... this is intentional winning not by luck , he'd put in work and it paid off.
Thumbs up @themex, you did a great job on that...

For the second place @isbelhivo2 did a great job, mind you this is a review not like the ultimate judge * ofcourse that's been decided, so I feel there was no consistency here, the extra vibing was good, but lack the flows, great on the keyboard as well, but later transition to the #EDM theme of the week i love the combo but then I observed a lot of energy was wasted with the jumping instead of channeling that into the reeves and the pitch, then some part of it was not sustained, so he ran out of breath and I could still hear the original song in the back ground.
However did great with balancing the whole of it till the perfect end.

Our third guy did magic with the xaxophone, I've never heard or seen how it's played and first time watching I'm wowed, first off, i'll give it to him for excellent performance and playing according to the theme of the week.
Secondly the timing, precision was excellent, now I'm a drummer I've tried to do a drum cover once and I tell you doing a drum cover is no easy you either run out of timing or behind timing and trying to balance somewhere in between, if you watched this performance you'd give him a high five for it, added some personal styling in between, that was excellent no mistakes no error, it was good... kudos ...

Alright so ...great vocals right there, however I wish the choice of song was one of Asa's, this is totally different cover and on another level, for me I was finding a way to connect with the performance but keep going back and forth on that, the reeves were wonderful but lack consistency on that too, somehow
The energy level was good, good pitching I'd place it on a scale of 6/10.

So we have on our fifth place.... who's multi talented with the guitar and konka, a swift Spanish performance and with the combination of both instruments added a different unique styling to the song and I loved it, it shows creativity and diligent observation of the music in knowing what to add and when to add it to make a perfect blend good performance right there. @rosanna
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
And there...with the last on our list ....what I love about it is the flow, her ease with the song, it would almost seem it was sang by her without studio effect, consistency was good, pitching good, flows excellent, tried adding some personal stuffs right there, energy level was low and the vibes isn't really found.
Big shout out to the @vibes team who had work really hard to create this amazing platform upon which all of these awesome talents are discovered and groomed , big shout out to @lordbutterfly
@silentcreamer
@verbal-d and all of vibes judges and to all of @vibes active community members and participants, we all make thia magic ..big shoutout to everyonw out there...
