My First Online Shopping Experience: Naive? Or just been Adventurous Me 😄

Hello everyone Good morning, hope y'all had a great night, wow what a pleasant way to start a day by jumping on these prompts, really felt excited to reminisce on some of my online shopping experience or more still my guts to initiate something i had no idea about.

I guess maybe it was during the fall of 2016 or so, i recall laying on my bed, just scrolling through my facebook page, when i stumbled upon these online shopping site, JUMIA i have never heard of it, never saw it from anywere, didn't knew a thing about online shopping, well? I decided to click the link to check it out.

I was directed to their main site where i saw different items like literally everything one could ever need was there, i tried creating an order and from one step to the last window, somehow i was convinced this was legit.

At the time i had a little knowledge about scammers, i knew things like this could be fraudulent, i decided to run down some few checks about them, somehow i had a strong feeling about it, altho i've never heard about them, i decided to give it a try.

Then i was making plans to buy a new phone Techno L8, i had saw the phone with friend and had started making plans to own one too, so while i was on Jumia site for the first time, i searched for the phone and only saw L8lite i didn't know what lite meant then and i didnt bother just went on to place the order for it, but i felt something wasn't right cause i really needed the exact type my friend had, it would take 3-4 working days to get your orders, plus i was to pay online, i guess then the phone's cost was N35,000.00.

On the D-day i was waiting patiently for it, when i had a call from one of the delivery guys, when i open the gate, there he was with the package i had ordered, wow, this was real, i felt a relieve tho, cause i wasn't sure till this moment how true online shopping was, he came in and i opened the package, alas! It was as i had thought smaller version of the main phone, i told the guy that this is not what i ordered that i needed the main original version of the phone, he told me they ran out of stuck for that but however i can file for a return and place another order if i'm not satisfied with the product.

I did exactly that, after like a few days, had to file the report online, someone would come and picked it up, the condition was no crack on screen or damage whatsoever and it would take another 7-working days to get my re-order delivered, i obliged.

After seven days, i got my new order delivered to my door step, i had place order for a different phone entirely still techno product, i really didn't know what gave me the guts and confidence to trust something i knew nothing about with my hard earned money even before i had recieved the products, plus i had to return it, still believing they will bring me another one, after that experience i just kept wondering like wow, this thing is real, from there i recommended jumia to all my friends family members too, i have been doing most of my online shopping with them, they are very trust worthy, reliable and offer good prices, discount and promos, my favorites been Jumia Black Friday
