My Experience with Electricity in different cities
Happy new week everyone here, I'm just glad it's a new week a fresh start and from the dept of my heart I wish all of us a blessed fulfilled week ahead
from the stables of @scifimultiverse community, still in the series of navigating our ups and downs in life what are some of the challenges that we've faced on electricity supply in our areas, well this is a good one cause most of us can relate to this as far as you're a Nigerian or maybe any other country in the world.
for me I've lived in several cities in Nigeria and to be frank the story is not funny, from experiences of rational power supply to total black out for months and years to a city were for decades there haven't been a glimpse of what electricity is, and I've lived in a city were I've also experienced steady constant uninterrupted power supply for weeks and months, and it's an all different experiences together...
for the average Nigerian electricity remains a major concern to us, right from when I was a child till I'm all grown that excitement of seeing light make us feel like wow what a treasure and that's because we rarely have it and if it does come pls hurry cause it's like you have just 5 minute time of usage and they'd take it back till the next day.
I've also experience the aspect of rational power supply, were I grew up, were mostly the ration the light either day or night, so if my street have light in interval tho during the day, the other street will enjoy light at night while we don't so the the circle alternates like that for a long time, then I moved to another city were for the first time ever I experience a 24 hours uninterrupted power supply I'm like this is Nigeria, altho this was just in a region and not the whole state, was just lucky to have lived there.
then I moved over to another city where I currently live now, and these guys are just amazing, like the whole state enjoy constant uninterrupted power supply all 24/7 week in week out, well heard they have their own power source not like the normal National grid power channel and its really an advantage for them.
finally the state were I was born till today are still in utter darkness, like it baffles me that uptill now no single electricity cable runs in the particular region of that state in the south, I just went to visit my brother and it's still the same old story, like it's just normal life for them everyone runs on small mini solar power panel or on generators for their businesses, somehow they have all adjusted and accepted the kind of life they have without electricity.
personally I can't live or do anything without electricity, like I need it for everything, that's why for the bills aspect I wouldn't mind tho but just give electricity and we're cool and not the other way round.
Electricity is one of the most basic need in life.
that's for sure
Imagine something as important as electricity is still a problem in Nigeria at a period where it is crucial for survival.
Nigeria is a mess... This is one of the reasons we are still where we at...
Ikegwuru
don't worry about that just find away to figure out yourself, cause no matter how hard you cry, it's all the same
Where is this please located please
it's around cross rivers not the state capital
Where is this place located please.
appreciated
No electricity for decades ke? How are they powering all their electrical appliances? That's serious, unlike my community where we enjoy almost 24hours power supply
my dear most of them make use of small solar panel to power their house this product from sunking with energy bulbs fixed around the their homes, for businesses they make use of generators
That's serious
very serious....its so bad
