It's Really a climate Change Over Here

talking about climate change, that's one subject matter we haven't really given much thought in this side of the globe, primarily because we have one of the best weather conditions here in Africa, especially my country NIGERIA were we experience just three basic weather conditions Rainy seasons, dry seasons and hamattan season.

Nigeria i would say is One of the luckiest country on the face of the planet, we have literally the best weather and climate conditions very favorable and conducive for all kinds of agriculture combined with the best soil that we've got.

like I said I haven't really given it much thought untill last two years when it all began, it was around January-February it would have been a normal transition from the hamattan season to the dry season but no, this months were super hot it was so hot i felt like someone went to hell and forgot to close the door, you can have a bath now and immediately began sweating, from then the weather were just not the same again from what I've known since when I was a child.

like last year was totally different, for the first time there was no sign of hamattan, this made me truly know that this thing called climate change is real, when I was a child you dare not bath without applying Vaseline jelly cream to your skin even at that the sole of your feet or your lips will Crack or tear from the excessive dryness of the weather coupled with very cold temperature, at the time we did feel like it would snow, the waters were so cold you dare not bath cold water in the morning, early in the morning you barely could see far because of the fog.

so last year there was no hamattan, so I thought okay atleast this year it would come earlier but no, it's February and still no sign of hamattan instead we are experiencing extremely hot weather condition and increased sunlight hours, now I could barely sleep at noon because my room is too hot despite the fan, only gets cooler at night a little bit

the weather conditions are not the same again and I'm sure we're experiencing the so called climate change.
