Something about self defense: when a man is in danger he will utilise just a means of protection to secure himself or defend himself, just like the Bible puts it that the devil comes but to steal kill and destroy, most of what we see now, all of those negative vices we see in the society such as robbery, kidnapping, stealing, destruction of lives and properties are all engineered by Satan, and the Bible also said that we are not ignorant of this devices that he uses, because we re aware of these we need to put on the whole armor of faith that we may be able to over come the ferry dart of the enemy thrown at us...

Sorry I had to digress a little bit.....

I'm saying because we might think it's a sin against us, no God will not count that because the devil would have taken our lives if we just seat there and do nothing about it, just like Bro Eli said that as a police officer or an Army officer who is licensed by law to protect the citizen against terrorism and crime to shoot and kill any one who might want to harm any body, he's also licensed and armed to defend himself too, cause he first needs to protect himself first.

According to the scriptures in the book of numbers 35:10

Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan,then you shall appoint cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person accidentally may flee there, they shall be cities of refuge for you from the avenger, that the manslayer may not die until he stands before the congregation in judgment....Numbers 35:10-12

This in the case were the man is innocent and would seek a place to run into for refuge, I know such places now do not really exist in our world today, but I hope you get the essence of this post that if maybe as a police officer or an Amy personnel you have a duty and you have been licensed to kill anything that ppsses threat to life especially yours first, so its totally okay not to feel guilty.
