Culture:, The Nigerian way Is Breathtaking...
Today I just randomly thought about My Country Nigeria, at how we make the impossible possible with our unique unity in diversity, it's some food for thought as how a totally different unrelated nothing-in-common people are living together as a country, this is a feet no country in the world have ever attain, in split of a second they'd fight and gone their separate ways, not like we as a country united in diversity we haven't had our fight our struggles, our wars, our differences, we had all of these but still we are interwoven in some kind of way...
One time I was teaching my student and I was discussing the uniquenss of Nigeria as a country cut across the four major geographical distribution of the country.. The North The South The East and west, how each of these regions have their special natural resources that are somehow pulled together for National purse and then these resources are redistributed in such away that it benefits others as well, these differences somehow makes us closer to each other cause we need the natural deposit of the other, even tho our culture differs yet we intertwined in a very unique way that the rest of the world cannot understand it.
What Culture is to me
Personally Being a Nigerian helps me understand the beauty and the uniqueness of culture better, its like when you put in different ingredients in a pot of soup each ingredients with its own unique test but when they are put in the same pot of soup or any meal they combine and produce a different blended unique test and feeling, with more than 200 million people, Nigeria is Africa's most populous country and it's largest democracy, with more than 300 ethnic groups and over 500 languages and many distinct religious and regional differences Nigeria stand as one of the world's most culturally diverse countries.... this is culture to me...
the different unique way of life that set each and every tribe and tongue apart but yet the beauty of culture is in this that we are all humans we relate with each other in our own unique way including food, Dress, way of life, ways of doing things we still find our footing with each other
I am from the Efik/Ibibio tribe from the south south states in Nigeria, I won't brag that my culture is the best ofcourse everyone's culture is the best in their own eyes but then I would just make mention of a few unique outstanding undeniable verifiable proves that set my culture apart...
OUR FOOD
When it comes to National dishes i haven't seen any tribe that beat ours, our food is actually one of the very outstanding unique qualities that set my culture apart, eaten anywhere in the country and diaspora. When it comes to soup especially leavy soup just leave it to us, it's often said you're a man that's really pays attention to what he eats then consider marrying an efik ibibio woman to cook you a very delicious and symptoms means that will make you smile just at the thought of it .
we have varieties of meals if you happen to attend any of our traditional marriages you will get a least of over 20 delicacies and you'd be confused... and not just that our ladies are best known to really know how to cook delicious meal among other very popular meals we have some of them here...
Ekpankukwo
Afang soup
Editan soup
White soup
Atama soup
Edikaikong(vegetable or pumpking leave soup
Ator
Essa
etc....
Our Attire
You know when they say culture is the people's way of life, how they live eat and most especially what they wear, of course when it comes to Africa we have numerous attire that differentiate cultures and traditions and these aspect is what really tell of a people's culture cause it's actually embodies their identity, history, stories, folktales etc...when it comes to my own culture our attire is one of a kind, its one that when spotted anywhere will just single us out and that's special and unique to us....
OUR WAY OF LIFE
This is one area about my people I really like, you see the efik/ibibio man or woman has this simple friendly welcoming personality, we are a very hospitable people, no matter who you're you can easily feel at home feel among without a second thought as to where you're, were an efik man is, he treats you as a brother a friend and when it comes to dealings it's just a straight act, we're not mischievous people, we're hardworking, honest and diligent at what we do....
A culture you Admire?....

The Yorubas....
Before now I always say I want to get married to a yoruba lady, the reason is I love their way of greeting, they are very very respectful, the way the bow to greet the elderly one's shows utmost respect, humility, loyalty, that along excites me about the yorubas, then their way of life, the music their attire, the festivities, celebration I love it, a yoruba man can go any length to celebrate the very small thing in a big massive way, i love the high life the music fuji, talking drums, owambe etc.....
I love the yorubas in every way, I want to live among them, establish my business and family in their region, a yoruba man will deal with you in very plane straight way honest and sincere that you will easily feel among them.....

This beautifully captures the essence of Nigeria's unity in diversity. Truly, our cultural differences aren't weaknesses ,they’re our strength. The Efik/Ibibio culture, just like others, adds rich flavor to our national identity. I’m proud to be Nigerian.
100% anywhere in the world I'd say it so loud.... thanks for coming around
The Nigeria culture is definitely one of the best culture I think there is. Not like I've experience much, but there's just so much beauty in it. Most especially the festive displays. This was such a beautiful and reflective writeup. Thanks for sharing.
