ALL New collaboration: My heart will Go On by @Blackbird & @Hiventhusiast

hello vibes community, this post is a collaboration between @blackbird44 and my self @hiventhusiast for the theme song of the movie Titanic, we both had to choose this particular song because it's resonate with the theme of the @vibes web3 music competition week39, while @blackbird44 does the cover of the original song as sang by the Canadian singer Celine Dion for the motion picture Titanic released in 1997, I'm doing the backdrop of the theme song my heart will go on for the movie Titanic, it's a collaborative effort to bring you a complete synergy between a writer and singer.

"My heart will Go On" is the theme song for the movie Titanic released in 1997, James Horner the original composer of the song, initially composed My heart will Go On as an instrumental motif for the film, then with the vocal version to be added at the end-credits, he then meet with lyricist Will Jennings, who wrote the lyrics to depicts the essence of the song from the perspective of a person who was a victim of the ill-fated occurance, having to carry on with the hurtful memories.

Jennings wrote the original lyrics from the view point of an aged persons looking back to so many years ago when it all happened..
personally I believed this also gave a perfect prefix to the movie.

Before the release of the film Titanic, studio executives worried that it would be a commercial failure, since sony had paid $800,000 for the rights to the Titanic sound track hoping it would include a theme song, composer James Horner had to secretly write the song altho director James Cameron was hesitant about a pop theme song in Titanic. cause he felt that ending Titanic with a pop song would be inappropriate.

However Horner waited to approach Cameron in a good state to present him with the demo of the theme song, my heart will go on, recorded by Celine Dion, who also was hesitant about recording the song, cause she had already recorded the theme song for the movie beauty and the beast and lets talk about love, According to music executive Tommy Mottola Celine recorded the vocals at just one take and that demo was what was released in the film.

After several listening Horner was able to convince Cameron who okayed the song, but still was skeptical about being criticized for going commercial at the end of the movie, Cameron also wanted to appease the anxious studio executives he saw that a hit song from his movie could also be a positive factor in guaranteeing its completion.

it was Simon Franglen who was working with Horner on electronic textures and synthesizers for the score suggested Céline Dion with whom he had worked with on many hits, Celine initially never wanted to do it, her Husband Rene convinced her to go on with it, she recorded the demo just ones and that was the version used in the movie..

After that Celine Dion re-recorded the song for her album Let's Talk About Love after the film's release,

my heart will go on is considered Celine Dion's signature song, it topped the chart in more that 25 countries and was the best selling single of 1998 with world wide sales estimated at more than 18 million, it is the second best selling single by a woman in music history and one of the best selling single of the time, it was included in the list of songs of the century by the Recording indusyry Association of America ( RIAA)...and the National Endowment for the arts.

My heart will go one went onto win four Grammy award these include Record of the year, song of the year, Best female pop vocal performance, best song written for a motion picture Academy award for best original.

As of these year 2025 the library of congress industry inducted the song into the National Recording Registry for preservation.
