Occupation of Jesus: was he a carpenter?
In the book of Mark chapter 6 verse 3
Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.
Here, the people knew Jesus as a carpenter; which clearly shows that Jesus submitted to his earthly father completely to the extent of doing what he does. Despite being the son of God, He lived the life of obedience both to His father on earth and heaven.
In brother Eli's teaching, he explained that Jesus was seen like others (normal people of His generation) which affirms to what prophet Isaiah said -
Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. - Isaiah 53:1-3
"There is no beauty that we should desire Him," after 30 years, when he began the word of God, making or performing miracles and all good things as recorded in the Bible, people realized that He is not an ordinary man, anybody else in their community.
Jesus did some carpentry work, at some point he focus on his mission on earth.
