How many times do we need to study the word of God? | The Old Path

As a believer, it is expected to study the word of God because we tend to grow our spiritual life when we constantly abide to the instructions and deeds in the scripture; however, how often should we study the word of God? Here's what Bro Eli's teaching drove us to.

In the book of John 8:31, the Bible says that:

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him,
"If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
-- John 8:31 KJV

This means the word of God needs to abide in us at all times. So, studying the word of God according to Bro El should not be cannot be counted in times, rather, you have to remain in the word of God, continue in the word of God as Christ instructed us.

While studying the word of God, we will see that God will teach you more and more and this will keep building our Faith in Him. Even as a beginner there are certain indoctrinal teachings to follow so that you become rooted in Christ.

The Bible added in Matthew 28:19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

This means after the indoctrination and baptism, as a beginner you're expected to taught the word of God to observe the teachings that you have learned, which are the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Certainly, in our walk with God, we will be faced with confusion, temptation and difficulty, but the word of God which we study continually will uphold us when we observe and learn the deeds in the scriptures.
