Christian Life—A Prayerful Life | The Old Path

Hey there!
It is beautiful to be back to the Hive blockchain after spending months and weeks fixing up some personal issues; as simple as this sounds, it was a horrible moment, but today I can testify that I have overcome it through the help of God’s Word, wisdom, and prayers. Yes! Prayer is very essential in the day-to-day life of a Christian. Bro Eli’s teachings have been one of my healing pills because he shares the reality and expectations of every believer.
Understanding Christianity is beyond mere words; as said in his podcast, “a Christian is a prayerful person.” One may ask, what and whom do we pray for? Simple, we pray for everything; we pray for those who love us, even those who do not love us or care for us.

The Bible records in the book of I Timothy 2:1-3:

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

What does this mean? We should not cease praying for “all men.” Men in authority, men who persecute us, men who hate us, etc.—pray for them; it is a command from the scriptures. Matthew chapter 5 verse 44 makes us understand that we should love even our enemies.

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"

Honestly, it is a hard thing to do, but it is a virtue of a Christian. Just as Bro. Eli says, "It is a virtue of a Christian to be full of prayers in his life. Praying for himself, praying for others, praying for fellow human beings, praying for the sick, praying for those who are persecuting you, and praying even for your enemies is a biblical virtue of a Christian.”

As said earlier in the first paragraph, I was facing some slight personal issues, but the prayers of my friends, family, and probably my enemies, lol, kept me going. The lesson here is, who are you praying for today? Remember, your conscience is a good conscience if you know how to pray for other people.
