The Midnight Wahala
. I lived in Room 5, VIP block of the boy's hostel. Usually, the VIP hostel was supposed to be a community of rich boys in school. But there was nothing rich about me and my fellow roommates ...

The Aso-ebi queen.
The soft and insistent rolling of the drums welcomed in the newest couple in town as they paraded the hall, dancing, to the admiration of the cheering crowd. The talking drums blasted as they continued dancing en route to their exquisitely decorated seats. Another form of jubilation broke out upon her entrance, the master of ceremony's voice booming across the speakers as a thunderous applause echoed through the space, turning it into an exhilarating moment. And then, a woman in delicately designed aso ebi lace waltzed into the reception hall ...

The ladder (Eng/Esp)
I was fifteen years old when I joined, together with my sisters, the group of Girl Scouts of Venezuela that was being organized in the community where I lived. My older sister was one of the older guides. There I learned all the skills and knowledge that a Girl Guide should have. From learning the scout oath and rules, making all the known knots, the shouts, slogans and songs, teamwork, survival and respect and love for nature ...

سَلَام My first Hive post from Gaza!
Hello, my name is Rozan, I am from Gaza and I support 9 people stuck in death, hunger and cold. I was told about this community by @kommienezuspadt and I am hoping I will be able to blog about this terrible time and earn votes and rewards to feed my family. Since the beginning of the aggression and war on Gaza, we were forced to leave our large house, which consists of very beautiful rooms, to live in a tent that does not protect us from anything, but we do not know what to do at that time. I was looking for a place with internet to communicate with people to help my family because the internet is very difficult in Gaza ...

A comfortable illusion? [EN/PT]
Talking about reincarnation is somewhat controversial. Religion, in general, always becomes a delicate subject, and beliefs are something very personal. I can't come here and say that reincarnation exists or doesn't exist, because I'm not the owner of the truth. So I'll limit myself to saying what I believe ...

Beyond Apologizing: When the Quest for Likes and Clicks Can Cost Someone Their Life
Hello friends, how are you? Currently, have served as an environment where many people spend hours consuming content. For this to happen, there are other people running after . This is where some situations can even be harmful, because not everything we find on the internet is real and if we don't pay attention, we find a lot of ...

[Esp-Eng] La importancia de no quemar etapas/The Importance of Not Burning Stages

RE: Cosas de Iris #4 La huella invisible de mi maestro - La lección no es siempre la aparente / The Lesson is Not Always the Obvious One (ESP/ENG)
Maestros los he tenido malos, buenos y regulares ...

Initiative #4 - The invisible footprint of my teachers [ENG-ESP]
Hello friends, welcome to my blog In life we learn from the people we have around us, but ideally we should only keep the good things, those that make us grow as human beings and as professionals, the rest should disappear from our minds and hearts because they only hurt us. Those first teachers are our parents who teach us values that mark us for life, leaving a mark that we will later pass on to our children. In my publication I would like to talk about people who were my teachers, some literally because they are teachers and gave me classes and others because they helped me in my growth as a professional, and as I said at the beginning, I will only talk about teachers who left good things in me, not about those who once hit me with a ruler in my hand or with an inverted ring on my head (those are the bad things that one should forget). I do not know if I have ever mentioned it, but I will never forget my fifth grade teacher, because thanks to her patience and perseverance I learned to pronounce the R (erre), maybe for many it does not seem like a big deal but for a 10 year old girl who substituted the R for the D and that her teacher practiced with her daily a tongue twister until she finally learned the correct pronunciation it was a gesture from another world, Perhaps at the time I did not know how to express my gratitude to her, I really do not remember it, but over the years it is an experience that I have not been able to forget because it left a mark on me ...

FOAM, HEMIPTERA, AND AN EVENING TO REMEMBER
The evening is almost a character in each of these evening posts I've been publishing quite often lately. The flora and fauna change, but the evening is always there, providing a thematic backbone that creates a feel of a series slowly shaping out. In this post, or an episode of sorts, there is another contender for the place of the main protagonist. It is not a single plant or animal, but a pretty large group of species defined as the order Hemiptera ...
Last Night's Milky Way At Donner Lake
It was another beautiful night last night, under the stars here in Truckee, California. All signs were pointing to having an incredible Milky Way show with little to no clouds and the moon below the horizon, so the sky was dark and clear. Here are a few photos I captured at Rainbow Bridge and along the shore of Donner Lake. Stay tuned ...

Bogotá 1:1
A selection of photos from my last trip to Bogotá a few days ago. I took them with my smartphone during my long daily walks through the rainy streets of that city, at times lost between the intertextuality of my thoughts and the appreciation of those who pass by—random paths and crossings unfolding, spontaneous, mostly in the early morning hours and at the end of the day.

Bicycle Ride, PDC, Tilling Last Spot, Utd, 3DP, Ready To Plant, Spring Weather - Thursday
I got the boys to school yesterday morning then after letting the birds out and getting the dog fed I went out for a bike ride. My new bike is so much nicer than my old one and rides nice and smooth. I took one of my normal routes that crossed the highway a few times but it meant I was on the side roads with zero traffic. I was kinda pushing it with a pretty constant pedal cadence and was keeping about 10 mph on the climb up ...

My Activity Blog 2025#120
Feathered Friday - Hawk Getting Annoyed
Here is a young red tailed hawk getting annoyed for this featheredfriday Poor thing was trying to rest on a tree and kept getting dive bombed by blue jays. He had to put god mode on to avoid getting destroyed by them (ancient doom video game reference). These are the culprits, and they were relentless. They must have had nests nearby and they don't want the hawk to eat their babies ...
