![]() Community: The Ink Well | “You still smell of him, go wash again”. I heard Lami say. I paused, my hand still on the doorknob, and my eyes locked on her reflection in the mirror. She didn’t turn ... |
![]() Community: The Ink Well | She had a map on her body When we were little, my grandmother took care of us. My parents worked all day and my paternal grandmother, who at that time lived at home, was in charge of taking care of our food and making sure nothing bad happened to us, because although we were three very obedient girls, we were also very naughty. Like those monsters with a thousand eyes, my grandmother would make sure that every action we did was under her supervision: "Don't ride there because you'll fall off", my grandmother would order, anticipating our actions and the consequences of them. "I told them to stop running because they would break something," she would point out to our particular pythoness in the face of our crying in front of the broken object ... |
![]() Community: The Ink Well | They say "curiosity kills the cat," but no one warned me that it could nearly kill a little girl who just wanted to play Spiderman and have so much fun. Growing up as the first child and the only girl amongst boys, I was expected to be the calm one. Like the composed, obedient girl who sat with her legs crossed and played with dolls. But I was anything else but calm ... |

It is good to be popular in this way because the public likes your talent and you get popularity according to that. There are people who work continuously on their talent and when they get popularity from the people, then their motivation increases due to which they improve their talent further and present their talent in a better way in front of the public ... |
![]() Community: Throwback Thursday | 9th March 2025. Month of March remained a month of memories for me. Everything is in the phase of "last". I am having last semester, last months and many other ending things ... |
It's been a while since I've programmed anything in code to help me or just play around with Hive. My last project was an offline project that formatted small texts for the inleo standard, threads (from meta) and for X. Each one with its own way of using tags or text formatting commands. In addition, it already translated from Brazilian Portuguese to English, making it easier to copy and paste wherever needed. I stopped working on the project because I ended up losing the source code along with one of my SSDs, but at the moment I can even do better, after all, this program called "Free Translator" was practically offline, it just accessed an API or URL (I don't remember) that did the translation ... |

![]() Community: Silver Bloggers | Until a few years ago the population of my country was mainly young, it was not common to see older people in the streets. But that has changed radically as a result of emigration. After the departure of more than eight million young people, now we older people are more noticeable, it is common to see older people everywhere, as if we had multiplied. Somehow the lack of young people has forced older people to solve things that perhaps in another time were left to their children or grandchildren, but in their absence there is no choice but to do them by themselves ... |

As far back as I can remember, this bicycle has been close to me. According to my uncle, its original owner bought it at a second hand store during one of his trips to Italy. Before, in Cuba, traveling to other countries was reserved for only a few. He was one of those few, working for the Merchant Marine ... | |
Community: Worldmappin | A journey through the history of cycling and a reunion with my adolescence. English A week ago the Tour of Asturias, a 3 day cycling race that has been held for 100 years in the region where I live, took place. In this post, I am not going to talk about the current edition, but about a temporary exhibition related to the celebration of the centenary of this sporting event that is on display in the Los Prados shopping center in Oviedo. After passing through the revolving doors that give access to the shopping centre in the main hall, I saw a collection of jerseys and bicycles related to the 100 years of the competition along with relevant information about this long lived competition ... |

![]() Community: Black And White | Hello friends! 👋 I know that many of you have already told your experience about the recent blackout in Europe and how it affected you, and although several days have passed, today is that I have time to share my experience and how I lived that event which left without electricity a good part of Europe. Surely for many of you it is something new, but for those of us from Venezuela we are already trained to endure it! Although it is something that no country should normalize, so I would love to hear in the comments how you lived or survived it ... |
![]() Community: Foodies Bee Hive | So this is the post I started to write over a month ago now. You know how it is, life, work, loads of unimportant but time sucking chores and tasks to do and suddenly you realise that life is passing you by again! So, after almost getting my kitchen finished a year later, it was time to start baking, and it had to start with bread. Other than a trip to the nearest French bakery, around 10 miles from me, the local shop bought bread is simply terrible ... |
