Hey everyone, it's time to help making the Cycling Community more active again, sharing another one of my trips and in this case, it's the one I made last Thursday since it's my regular day off of work, I have a minimum of two training days every week, mostly Thursdays and Sundays and while the weather was awesome I needed to wait out the rain that day. When it's raining all day I don't mind going out anyway but when I have a choice, dry conditions are better.. When I was planning my trip, with the South Western wind in mind I planned a 33km route with the option to extend it to the next village, Arkel so I could circle back to my own village taking one of the many dykes called 'de Lingedijk' but this would make the distance a whopping 43km, not a lot for experienced cyclist but with around 6 weeks of cycling activity, I'm still a beginner soooo... that could be too much, right? ...

Today I once again present some of the last remaining images from my last trip to Ciudad Bolívar, Bolívar State, Venezuela. I took a tour with my wife, visiting several important points in the city. The historic center, which in my opinion, possesses a magical quality perfect for photography, thanks to all its scenes, its architectural style, and the people who are part of, so to speak, this visual universe, both in scenes and in the environment itself. In my last post I mentioned that finally after several days of heavy rain I had the opportunity to go out to the park to take some pictures, so here are some more from that day that I want to share. As we are in rainy season it is difficult to have control over the light when shooting with natural light, the clouds come and help us but also at times affect our photography, that's why I decided to use an aperture of F/1.8 and let the camera control the shutter speed, the ISO I was moving it as I needed. Over there is a curious iguana that apparently was not afraid of me, but as soon as it saw the camera it started to run away, I guess most animals have a feeling that if someone points at them, they should run away, better be sure. Continuing with the iguanas, right in the Deer area I found this iguana that saw me but didn't move either, to be honest I know it was because they hadn't warmed its blood yet, even so I tried hard not to disturb it and I shot behind a fence, you can see it despite my efforts, I could have tried a better angle but surely I would have scared it away, and that would be disrespectful to nature on my part ...

Every year around the end of June, I like to attend a festival known as Sheffield Steam Fair and take along a camera. I can't quite work out how or why I'm interested in this sort of thing but I think it is something to do with my grandfather who used to be obsessed with all things traction engines. This is a sort of homage to him even though he passed away more than 20 years ago.
