The Holy Rosary.
She sat there in the church, her eyes closed, as the ocean breeze made a gentle rustling sound across Mahébourg, a quiet village nestled in between the rocks. It brushed against the cheeks of Marie Claire Morel as she sat, with her fingers clutching a weathered rosary. She muttered to herself as she touched each bead reverently, every "Hail Mary" she chanted, a lifeline. For ten years, she had held on, through grief, through silence, through the sting of every question unanswered ...

Ink well Prompt -229- Where did you go to get here?
Image by Joe from Pixabay Walking through the town square and this place does not feel like home. It felt too small to be the grand market of my memory. After the grand cities where I’d studied, calling it a town felt far too generous. “Don’t be going to the wood stranger” ...

The Owambe Rice
It was like one of those broke Saturdays when there's absolutely no food at home. One of those broke days that you just wake up and bury yourself in house chores all to kill time so that you'll skip breakfast and maybe lunch. I had just finished washing clothes. My back was aching and my stomach was grumbling ...

[EN/PT-BR] Animals in zoos: A difficult idea to work with.
The zoo is one of the coolest and most fun places we have to go for a walk and take our friends and family. It's a fun place where we can appreciate and learn about many animals that aren't normally part of our daily routine. Many of them may not even exist naturally in our country, where we live. This makes everything much more enjoyable, seeing how they behave, how they feed, and how they play with each other ...

Rebranding zoos to be dedicated in nature conservation.
Banner created in chatGPT   Last Sunday we went to the Calgary Zoo, despite of not ending well the visit since my daughter decided to act like a monkey and broke a finger before entering, we had some good fun. In our previous visit, before tha,t we decided to get their annual membership, which allows us to go as much as we want without paying tickets. We did the math and if all our family goes there more than once a year, it is worth it. Kids love animals and they learn a lot every time they go, even if it is more a speedy visit like we had last Sunday ...

Beach, rocks, paths and the horizon...
I have so many paths to walk, so many trails to choose from, so many landscapes to enjoy and so many beautiful views to appreciate that there isn't enough time in the world, but I'll try to do as much as I can. That's what I was thinking during this walk, as I walked along a low path very close to a somewhat remote beach where there are few people, and in this case almost none, perhaps because of the heat at that time of day. But remember that now I have my bottle of ice cold water, and I'm happy with it. It's ideal for these walks and for enjoying life ...

Where should we go for a ride?
When you have a new driver in the family who wants to practice driving, it is likely that he will always answer positively if you ask him if he wants to take a ride. And so it happened that when I asked my son about it two days ago, he of course agreed right away. The only doubt was where to go; we wanted to drive out of town, and looking at the map, we decided that it would be a town called Sax. We chose the regional road instead of the highway, and although there are more curves as you go through some hills, the views were so nice that we took the same route on the way back ...
