The Lost Kite
The branch shook as a strong gust of wind blew. Several leaves fell down, and I frowned because I knew my mother would ask me later to sweep them. I scoffed in irritation when I heard the children in our neighborhood shouting loudly. I shut the book I'm reading because I knew I couldn't concentrate on reading it further ...

Creative Nonfiction: A tree is a house/ Un árbol es una casa (ENG/ ESP)
Image from edited in Canva A tree is a house In the absence of our parents, who worked from Monday to Friday, our grandmother took care of us. She was in charge of making food, protecting us and making sure we didn't get into mischief, since we were four curious girls with an energy only comparable to an atomic bomb. I was the most energetic and restless of all, so my grandmother was always looking for ways to keep me busy: "Help me water the bushes", Grandma would say and give me a watering can to go from bush to bush. Other times, when she was sewing quilts from scraps of fabric, she would ask me to help her trim or sort the pieces of fabric by color ...

Dual-Purpose Livestock Farming: A Sustainable Source of Income and Food
Dual purpose livestock farming has become a viable alternative for small and medium sized producers, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. This productive system is characterized by the breeding of bovine breeds that offer both meat and milk, providing farmers with a double source of income and contributing to the food security of the communities. If you want to start with this type of dual purpose livestock, the first thing you should do is analyze the conditions that exist in the agroecosystems, that is, the climatic characteristics where this type of animals are going to develop. In the same sense, although the climate cannot be changed, the effects can be minimized by means of shaded areas on the forage surfaces where they graze ...

Story of three magical words: I am Sorry
I have experienced different stages of life, and believe me, our way of thinking and doing things keeps changing. When we talk about apologizing to someone, it is one of the hardest things for many of us. It’s something we are taught in childhood and school. Whenever you hurt someone intentionally or unintentionally, it is better to say those three magical words: "I am sorry" ...

El grave olvido de mamá / Mom's serious oversight
I think one of the biggest childhood fears is getting lost, or being left somewhere by your parents and they don't come back. And, although that is not a recurring thought, in some cases it crosses the mind (or was that just me? ) With mom, it didn't really happen that she was late picking us up from school, or that she left us with strangers, although I was one of those who always found a way to have sleepovers at mom's friends' houses, where there were girls my age. However, those are my memories from when I was a little girl, but mom always told us an anecdote about an incident that happened when my older brother was 3 years old ...
