Taking The Health Of The Citizens Personal

As this regular saying has been for years, health is wealth. As popular as it seems to be, not everyone takes it for anything. There are those who feel that it is a waste of money to pay a visit to a medical facility for the reason best known to them.On a daily basis we wake up to one terrible news or the other of people who just fall and die before any attention is given to them. Some of these are just as a result of some sheer negligence. We eat whatever comes across us without minding the implications that may have on our health. How can one get to know his health status without visiting a facility?

For every blood group, there is a particular food combination that is best for them, and all these we won't get to know if we are not exposed to it. Some people feel that a sign of good living is to have so much flesh and a large belly.I am of the opinion that the government should take the health status of the citizens personally. There are people who have some dangerous sicknesses of which they know nothing, and by the time they get to know of them, they might have gone beyond control. Most times one will get to discover that those illnesses have taken a big toll on the people around it.

Not too long from now, the news will have it that there is an outbreak of a particular disease in a region. But when the government makes it compulsory for its citizens to visit the hospital, it becomes easy to control some, if not all, the illnesses.A healthy community will have several things working well; there will be little or no loss of hands who have the potential to better the economy. Working around this may be difficult for any government at first, but a deliberate effort will make it stay.

I remember there is a project that was established for newborns; this involves immunization of the children till they get to a certain age. At the first visit, a can is issued by the facility, and there is proper tracking of all that takes place for the years that it will last. So the government can also try to take this same approach so as to make sure everyone in the country complies with this injunction. At first not everyone may want to go with this, but it will make more sense when the citizens get to see more positive outcomes from the project.It is also worthy to note that this approach will help to reduce the level by which illnesses are spread in the country because people will get to know their health status before time.

Some illnesses are better managed when they are in a very tender stage. Just to share a personal experience, some time towards the end of last year, my husband was feeling some kind of chest pain. This pain continued for several days; personally, I couldn't place my hands on anything as I didn't want to blame it on an ulcer because I was sure I was performing my duties well. Some friends concluded that it was a problem with cold, so it may be a symptom of pneumonia. When he told me that, I didn't want to just conclude, so I encouraged him to go for a medical examination. To my greatest chagrin, he was diagnosed with malaria and typhoid, and he also needs to deworm himself.

I was so shocked to my Borns; if not for that test, we would have just been treating something else.The government may not find it easy with the citizens if he should just come up with this new development, but I am sure it will work well at the end.
