For A Better Society: Child Services Focus Should Be Reexamined
A fundamental human right is the right every human has, ranging from the right to have a good life and access to social amenities to more. There are people who came up to say that a child also possesses these rights, so they insist on defending the interests of these kids. These human rights also vary from country to country. In third-world countries such as mine, Nigeria, there are rights that we embrace so well, such as defending a child when it comes to abuse.
Some years back a teacher was arrested for rape. This issue of raping a child was so rampant, and mature adults rose to defend the cause of these little kids because of the effect it had on the child involved. These people are meant to pass through the law without minding who is involved. The issue of a teacher flogging a child to death was also on the rise in my country, and most of these people that were caught in the act were made to face the wrath of the law to the fullest. I can actually go on and on.
Down to the developed countries, there are well-established laws that allow a child to call 911 in the case of emergency. So when any child is being disciplined by the parents and he or she is not comfortable with the way the parents are handling him or her, they go ahead to call the line, and the parent involved will be arrested. In as much as it is good to protect the image of a child, I don't see it as wise to stop a parent from administering discipline to the kids.
There is a high moral decadence in our society today because many children lack the basic home training. I have never imagined that someone will come and tell me not to flog my kids; even the Holy Bible tells us that "foolishness is in the heart of children, but the rod of correction drives it out. But it's best to correct them in love, as we do older adults too. I have this singular belief that no one can handle my kids the way I do, and to a great extent it is true, though I try my best to teach them to respect and obey elders in the case they are telling them to do the correct thing.
Many homes are thrown apart today because of this lack of discipline, and this has gone so deep to the point that they even file for divorce because of the same kids they gave birth to. As a way of conclusion, there should be a way of balance by training the parents on the proper discipline to be given for each age.
Last year my husband and I went for training on how to train a child. During that training, we were taught the proper discipline to be given for each age. If a child is proving to be unbearable, instead of using much anger to do things, it's best to take the child for counseling and get help from adequate places.

That teacher that rapped a child should never come out of prison because he is like a dog who ended up eating the Bone given to him to take care of. Both flogging a child to death is very bad. But for child services I think that they also overdo their own. Parents should be allowed to punish a child when he goes wrong.
Thanks for sharing
My dear, he should just remain there. They overdo, it's best to allow parents to handle their kids. Thank you for stopping by

Children deserve to be loved in every home. Some children live with their guardians or family relations, If you see how these children are being treated, often you'd wonder if that child doesn't have a mum.
I pray we all receive the grace to train our children with the fear of the lord.
Seriously, to that I don't always like the sight at all.
I pray same dear. Thank you
I'm impressed by your point. Parents should be trained on how to discipline their children with love, care, and prayers.
Thank you so much
That's the goal my dear because it will have more positive impact. Thank you for reading
