This is a traditional Sri Lankan dish and a delicious way to include turkey berries in your diet. So, let's take a step-by-step look at how to make a very tasty and nutritious "turkey berry mallum."
Required Ingredients...
🍀 Turkey berry 100g.
🍀 Some curry leaves.
🍀 About 3 cloves of garlic.
🍀 2 pieces of cinnamon bark.
🍀 A little chopped onion.
🍀 A few chopped green chillies.
🍀 1 cup of grated Coconut.
🍀 1/2 teaspoon of Mustard powder.
🍀 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
🍀 Salt as needed.
🍀 1/2 Teaspoon of pepper powder.
Method of making.
1 Step.
First, take the turkey berries and remove their stems. Wash and clean them thoroughly. Then, place them in a vessel, add water, a little turmeric powder, and a pinch of salt. Put the vessel on the stove and boil the berries for about 4 minutes.
2 Step.
Then take a mortar and pestle and add grated coconut, curry leaves, onion, garlic, cumin, green chillies, turmeric, pepper powder, mustard powder and a little salt and grind it well. It is made into a coconut mixture.
3 Step.
Then, put the boiled turkey berries in a pan and place it back on the stove. Add some oil to it. Using a spoon, slightly mash the turkey berries. Next, add the prepared coconut mixture to the pan. Cook for about 3 minutes, then remove from the heat.
