World Economy: The Experience is global

source
The inflation that is happening right now is a global economy. We can only talk of the country you are living in because you know the economic situation of the country.
When I was reading many posts, the authors were saying the cost of living in their countries is very high and can kill someone.
I have friends in England precisely, I have in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Coventry, Birmingham and many more.
One of them called me on Whatsapp a few weeks ago, telling me to come over. He's working in a hospital over there.
I asked him, how much is the price of roasted maize over there?
He replied, “the price of a maize is £2 at minimum. The price of things here is double now. What was a pound before is now 2 pounds. I can't cut my hair because the price of haircut starts from £15 upward that is almost #30,000 in Nigeria. No work, no money; no will give you free money here, you have to work and get your money. The cost of living is insanely high here. My apartment is £800 per month and it is one of the cheapest environments, but if you need an apartment in London, except a room and parlor is more than £2,500 every month”.
That is almost #3,000 in our currency; I do buy a roasted maize in my area #200. If you want to cut your hair, you will need more than #30,000.
Seriously, we talked almost every week and we talked for an hour.
I know how much is earning per hour because I was helping him to submit documents online, and I saw his appointment letter.

My uncle is a lecturer in Canada, he told me how things have changed because of the world economy.
When we talk about Cost of living, it cuts across the majority of the countries on the planet.
The author of the first post I read was @maliha.rajpoot. he talked about the cost of living when he was very young. He said, “my mother could buy everything they needed in the bazaar for just 5,000 rupees; now 5,000 rupees is nothing”.

In Nigeria, #5 and #10 do not have value. I don't think there's something one can buy with #5. My grandpa told me the first motorcycle he had was bought at #10; That was decades ago. If you want to buy motorcycle right now, you will have #700,000.
There was a time in the Northern part of Nigeria, I could not finish #100 meal with meat. Today, I can't be satisfied with #1,000 meal.
It is a global economy; as the population increases, the rate of consumption increases which causes the rise of products and services.
But in Nigeria, everyone has a monopoly to sell his/her products at any price. There is no price regulation policy that can guard wholesalers and retailers.
Therefore, the moment there is a scarcity of a particular product or the US dollar goes up, they hike the price of products.
When the product price is down in the market or the US dollar comes down, they refuse to bring the price of products down.
This situation makes the country unbearable for the masses; the small money one has cannot cater for one needs.
The father cannot ask the son either he's satisfied, while the wife cannot as her husband either the food she prepare is enough for him🤣🤣🤣.

There is no hope for youth because the government did not create job opportunity for youth, the bank account of our leaders are getting fat, the average citizens are praying to get 2 meals per day, the nursing mothers are calculating times to give their children breast because they are not satisfied, some of the nursing mothers did not eat 3 meals in a day. The lover of Pepsi such as me stopped buying Pepsi because the price is #4,00 now.
This made Nigeria's economy worse than many countries.

With how wealthy Nigeria is, it can provide basic needs for her citizens just like some developed countries. But, the so-called leaders impoverished our nation due to the grid.

If I have the chance, will I relocate?
The answer is ‘to where?’
Some of my friends abroad are bitterly complaining of the economy over there. I know of three of my friends that want to come back but they are ashamed of coming back to the country and starting from the beginning. Our mindset is that everyone that travels abroad is a wealthy and rich man.
This is the reason they don't want to come back and start applying for jobs like someone that just graduated.
Before I relocate, I must do the calculation of my salary and how much I can save every month. I must check if the environment is conducive for me.
I know this country well; and I know my environment well. No one can tell me my documents have expired and I need to renew them. I can do any business of my choice if it is not a bad business. I have the freedom here.
I don't want to go to a place where I would be checking. Maybe they are coming to ask for my documents, hiding in the afternoon and going to work at night. I need my freedom.

There are people in this country that are not feeling the heat of the economy. They are not working for the government or private companies. They control everything they want. They are 100 times better than some of the guys that traveled abroad. They are living in Nigeria and travel abroad for holidays.
My prayer is like that; I want to be traveling to foreign countries for tours and holidays. Spending a week or two weeks to relax and refresh myself; then, come back to Nigeria.

stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself from being successful.
“Discouragement and failure are the two surest stepping stones to success.” - Dale

Hey bro 👋 I hope you are doing well.

Actually maliha is correct it was possible to buy lot's of things and plan budget in 5000 rupees but now it's one day expenses. Cost of living in my country isn't much as compared to develop countries like US UK and Canada but the income and living standard is very low here.

Yes inflation is a word wide Dilemma and these days, both poor and middle class are suffering from it, it's sad to know, the price of maize got double in just a matter of time. Covid wave was the reason thing get's out of hand and now it's not easy to control them.
