The top skills that employers of labor are looking for right now are tech skills. This is because we are in the age of technology and we need tech skills to get to the top.
A few years ago in my environment, the best skills employers were looking for were computer skills- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, corel draw, and Google doc. When you have these skills, a job is waiting for you. Even if your communication skill is very poor, you would be given a job.
In the beginning of this year, exactly January 2024, a friend of mine was called for an interview in a big firm. The day he saw the email, he went to get details about the company- what they produce, and many others so that he could confuse the interviewer.
When the day was set to go to the company for an interview, he got there before the appointment time. He saw many applicants like him. They took them to a section where the interview was conducted; a number was given to everyone according to the time of their arrival.

The place they took them to was a hall but it was a section in the company. All the applicants saw the team of interviewers while conducting the interview. It was an open space!
According to my friend, that was part of job seekers that were interviewed. “He said you can easily hear the questions they asked us. I made friends with many people and collected their numbers.”

By the next time the company emailed those that passed the interview, they employed applicants that included Tech skills in their resume.
He said “there were about 10 people with PhDs and many of us with master degrees. To my own surprise, it was applicants with Tech skills in any field of study that have employment. I got the job because I have tech skills.”

Another friend of mine called Harbert is a novice in programming; we worked together in the same school. He is teaching programming and robotics in 4 schools. He's getting more than 4 times his monthly salary right now. Therefore his monthly salary is just nothing compared to what he earned.
He had students online he teaches.
The most wanted skill right now in any parastatal is tech skills.

There is a Tech school not too far away from my house, they are teaching interested people UI/UX, Cybersecurity, animation, cloud computing, Data science, AI/ML, Data analysis, and software development. It is a year of training, and whenever learners graduate, human resources from different sectors, CEOs, and managers attend the graduation ceremony. They select the learners that did well and take them to their company without an interview.
When the school did year 2023 graduation ceremony, they spoke about the year 2022 learners. According to them, 832 learners graduated in the year 2022; 644 got instant job employment during the graduation ceremony without interview while the rest of the learners did not spend a year before they got employment.
In the same country where thousands of people graduated for 10 years without a job, job is waiting for some people that are yet to finish.
My nephew, who graduated from a prestigious university as a computer scientist, enrolled in the tech school this year. Only 5 months left for him to finish; and right now, he has started earning money. He's a front end and back end developer. He gets contracts from different people across the world; that was when I knew one can establish himself without looking for a company to work.
At his age (21 years), he rented his apartment, and furnished it. Just to tell you how lucrative Tech skills are right now.

The skills for this time are tech skills and if you have the skills, it is a boost to your resume. Tech people are getting online jobs, they can work from home.

Cryptocurrency Traders
If you know how to trade very well, I don't think you need to work in any company because it will be very hard for a company to pay you the amount you earn in a month. There was a guy I was introduced to by my friend. He's a pro in anything about crypto. Rich men give him millions to trade so that they can share the profit. According to him he was working for a bank, and they were paying him an estimated amount of $128 per month.
He resigned from job, and focused on crypto. Right now, the man that was living in a rented apartment, woke up at 5:00 am and came back from work at 7:00 pm has 2 houses and a car within 2 years. He said, “there was a time when I got 15 months of my salary in a month in crypto.”
That is about a year and 3 months intensive work in the bank.
There are companies that are looking for crypto skills and brokers.
