Nothing Sweet Like choosing Moxian Rebel in the Armored Up Ruleset

Good day to you all splinterlands lovers, how are you? This is another great day to make a post about my favorite card. The community engagement challenge focuses on those clever cards to win a battle. I will talk on Moxian Rebel in this community engagement. Moxian Rebel is a neutral card- this simply means it can be used with any splinter in the splinterlands. Moxian Rebel can be available in Fire, Water, Life, Earth and Dragon splinters; that is what makes Moxian Rebel a neutral monster. As Moxian Rebel is increasing in levels and its power also increases. For me, the best level to start enjoy Moxian Rebel is level 4; this is because at level 4, it adds another ability which makes it impossible to be targeted by opportunity monsters. Most of my battle I used Moxian Rebel, it was always attacked by opportunity monsters which made it not stay longer in the battle. Camouflage ability will make it impossible to attack by opportunity monsters. At level 7, it has the strongest magic ability, and only summoners with level 6 and above can accommodate it.

Why do I select Moxian Rebel in Armored Up Ruleset

When the armored up ruleset is given in a battle, one needs to understand the kind of monsters required in this battle. I knew I don't need a melee or ranged monster, but Halfling Refugee and Ferrous Brewer were inevitable to me in this battle, that was the reason I used them. The reason I don't need a melee monster was that a melee or ranged monster attacks the armor before the health which takes a lot of effort; using magic monsters will attack the health of an attacked monster directly without damaging the armor. Therefore, the best strategy in this battle was to use magic monsters; and the magic monsters should attack in one direction. As you can see, all my monsters attacked in one direction.

Armored Up: All units gain +2 armor. Armored up required a systemic way to deal with it.

Summoner

Marlai Singariel
Splinter: Water 💧💧💧
Level: 1
Ability: +1 magic attack to all friendly monsters

The major reason I selected Marlai Singariel was to add +1 magic attack to all friendly monsters. It was **Marlai Singariel that could have me exactly what I wanted. My opponent came with a different strategy- he used a monster with demoralizing ability. This simply meant if I used 4 monsters with melee attack, I wouldn't have won the battle. Hence, using summoner with +1 magic attack was the best option for me.

Monsters Arrangement

Halfling Refugee
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 1 ⭐
Ability: Weary
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Health: 6 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 1

Looking at this battle very well, I was given 29 mana to fight this battle; in order to use it judiciously, it was very important to use Halfling Alchemist. One of the reasons I like using Halfling Alchemist is the 1 mana which gives more room to use other monsters. **Halfling Alchemist was the reason I was able to select 6 monsters in my lineup, despite the 6 mana cap summoner I used. With a 3 mana summoner, my opponent could not use 6 monsters. This is to tell you how I was able to utilize 29 mana to pick 6 mana summoner and 6 monsters. Halfling Alchemist was eliminated toward the end of 1st round. I was expecting Halfling Alchemist to be the first monster that would be eliminated; this was because my opponent used Ujurak Brave and addition of Arachne Weaver with corrupted healing. With his lineup and strategy, it was Ujurak Brave, my opponent's monster that was eliminated first.

Abyssal Elemental
Splinter: Water 💧💧💧
Level: 1 ⭐
Ability: Resurgence
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Health: 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 4 🪖🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 6
We all know what Abyssal Elemental capable of doing! Placing it in the second position was very important; Abyssal Elemental was eliminated in the 2nd round. It came back to life for the second time due to its resurgence ability. This resurgence ability was vital to me and was the reason I placed it in the 2nd position. The way it came back and regained 100% of health and armor made me use it in second position. By the time it was eliminated the second time, a monster was eliminated in my opponent's lineup; therefore, three monsters were left in his lineup while I had 5 monsters left.

Yaba's Pickle
Splinter: Water 💧💧💧
Level: 1 ⭐
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Health: 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 4
This was where *Moxian Rebel” came in; I brought Moxian Rebel to give weapon training to Yaba's Pickle and Conclave Artificer. The both monsters are non-attacking monsters; Moxian Rebel was very important to give both of the magic attacks. Yaba's Pickle was placed in the third position in case Abyssal Elemental is eliminated. Abyssal Elemental was eliminated in the 3rd round for the second time, and Yaba's Pickle led the attack. Its not only led the attack, it led the attack to victory.

Moxian Rebel
Splinter: Neutral
Level: 1 ⭐
Ability: Weapon Training
Speed: 1 🚤
Health: 1 ❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana:4
I was happy when I discovered that my opponent did not use an opportunity monster; it would have been a disastrous for Moxian Rebel. The only functional position for Moxian Rebel was to place it in-between Yaba's Pickle and Conclave Artificer. That was the only position it could give magic attacks to both monsters; and that was exactly what I wanted.

Conclave Artificer
Splinter: Neutral ⚔️⚔️⚔️
Level: 1 ⭐
Ability: Camouflage
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Health: 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 2 🪖🪖
Attack: Magic
Mana: 4
Whenever I used Moxian Rebel in a battle, I like to use non-attacking monsters such as Conclave Artificer and Yaba's Pickle. The best way to use 6 monsters was to use monsters with 4 mana cap; 4 out of 6 monsters I used were 4 mana caps.

Ferrous Brewer
Splinter: Neutral ⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️
Level: 1 ⭐
Ability: Charge
Speed 1 🚤
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Armor: 3 🪖🪖🪖
Attack: Melee
Mana: 4
Only 4 mana was left; though I have choices of monsters but the best choice for me was to select Ferrous Brewer. This monster attacks in any position; and it was crucial in the past position to prevent a sneak monster from destroying Moxian Rebel. You know, Conclave Artificer cannot be attacked because of its camouflage ability unless it leads a battle. Ferrous Brewer was attacking an opponent's monster in first position, but it's attacking prowess could not be felt very much because of the Demoralizing ability that reduced melee attacks of my monsters.
