Music Is A medium Of communication and Spirituality
Deep down to my tribe, music is beyond entertainment. For my tribe, music is an agglomeration of physical and Spirituality. Music is used to conjure something from spiritual to physical.
Ok! Let me buttress my points with premises: there was a day I was passing from a nearby community to my hometown, it was the day of their festival. You know as a kid, I was very interested to see what was going on. I decided to watch the festival that very day. As a man was chatting and other people were singing, the man in the middle, which signified the particular gods they were worshiping, fire and smoke was coming out of his mouth. It was a surprise to me because I only watched such a thing in a movie, not in reality.

Why Music Is A Medium Of Communication?
Today, 27th June 2024, my boss retired from active service. The staff organized a send-off ceremony for him due to the lives he had helped.

We organized a kid to sing in the ceremony, and most of the songs they sang were purely healthy and good life.
The lyrics said that he and his family will be healthy and strong. Therefore the content of the song was a prayer, the children that sang for him were praying for his health and vitality.
They also said and I quoted, The director will never lack in his lifetime. He will never lack anything called good. He will continue to flourish without dryness in his life. He will never have a reason to live a life of regret and pain. His life will be colorful and decorated. Our boss, you are very good and kind, your type is very scarce because you always do things that benefit everyone. We will miss you and we are already missing you right now. We all enjoyed your tenure, and we appreciate God for bringing you here. Your impact will remain with us forever, bye-bye our boss.

The lyrics of the song had a clear message. It was a pure prayer for a healthy lifestyle, prosperity, and a good life.

The Costume The Wear

The costume was a pure sign that the song they sang was a traditional song. We love to wear traditional costumes whenever we are doing something attached to our tradition.
Culture is a specific pattern of human activity. Their belief system, lifestyle, manner and what they eat.

The costume they wore was a clear indication about our lifestyle. We are the owner of the costume. The red beads they wore represented “Health and vitality”. They simply wished our boss Sound health and vitality which was incorporated in their song.
You could see that they didn't wear white beads! We often wear white for certain reasons and the white beads represent spirituality and purity. We have beads that can only be used by kings and royal people; these types of beads cannot be used if you're not from the royal family or a king.
Wear Costume is an identification of a culture in a group of people. As you can see from the pictures, some people can easily guess the group of people in the pictures in this article. This is because the costume is associated with a group or groups of people.

In addition, music is part of our communication and it sends messages to us. In our culture, our music sends healthy messages to our people.

Our Music Is to Shape Our lifestyle
When I was a kid, my mother used to sing, "Know the kind of a child you're.” There were many songs my mother sang in those days to make me industrious and strong. Our music carries significant messages that make us not be a wayward child.

Music is very important in our ceremony
We give room to music in any of our ceremonies, such as the naming ceremony, wake Keeping, burial ceremony, graduation ceremony, retirement ceremony and festival of different kinds.
This is because music is an Integral part of our lives. Music is not only for entertainment but music is psychological and spiritual.

Music is Spiritual
The spiritualists sing music to bring down their gods just like what I said earlier.

In conclusion, Music is part of us as our lifestyle, there are many people that cannot do without music in a day. The purpose of music is different in our lives, music is an entertainment to some people and music is a spiritual to some people.
