How Nigeria Will Look Like In 100 Years To Come?

When I looked back to 20 years ago, I realized that there were many challenges in my community. I don't really know 20 years ago because I was very small. But according to the history I heard from old people living with us. one of the old men said, “My father died at 134 years, my mother died at 113; the average death age rate was 98 years. People hardly died at 70 in those days, but today, it is not common to see a 134 year old man or woman. The average death rate is 70 now!
The world has changed, and everything on the earth keeps changing.
I believe by 100 years to time Nigeria and many part of the world will be:
Global warming will be so much higher
We saw what happened this year. We experienced too much heat in some parts of Nigeria due to global warming. If the Government does not do something before 20124, the ozone layer will be completely destroyed which will result in exposure of very high temperatures and spread of diseases.

Increase in Pollution
Currently, water and air pollution is extremely high here. The city is congested with vehicles and companies, releasing carbon monoxide to the atmosphere which causes air pollution.
There are many drainages blocked by refuse which causes outbreak of diseases and foul smelling in my residents. Many rivers in my area are full of refuse which makes it hard to stay for minutes. Every time I pass through the third mainland bridge through public transport; I cover my mouth and nose with a handkerchief due to the foul smell and empty trash cans at the riverbank . If the situation continues like this till the next 100 years, diseases will break out that will kill many people. The environment will not be suitable for human beings to live in.
There were some river banks across the country that the refuse is bigger than a 3 story building. By hundred years to this time, those refuse will be triple.

Population will increase rapidly and more famine in the land

In the 2006 population census, the total population census was 140,003, 542. Right now, the population of Nigeria is over 200 million, by the next 100 years, the population will be 3x or more than that.
As a result of the increase in population, the consumption rate increases and the available Agricultural products are not enough to feed the population. Since the consumers are higher than producers, the price of Agricultural products skyrocketed in the market. Those that cannot afford to buy food products are suffering from famine and hunger. By the next century, if the population keeps increasing like this, there would be a serious famine like the one that happened in the Bible where they were killing their children for food.

Wealthy people who can afford will travel to other planet for survival

Some people will make another planet their dwelling place. Some wealthy people who can afford to build houses under water will be living under water. Wealthy people will be more comfortable because they can afford anything they want.

Technology will increase

We are in the era of AI! In the Next 100 years, the human brain will be wired like a computer to make it work faster than the computer.
Advanced robots will be introduced to agriculture and other fields, manual labor will greatly reduce in companies.

Some Things will be extinct

I believe there are animals that no longer exist. I read how dinosaurs disappeared on the face of the earth as a result of asteroid strikes 65 million years ago.
Asteroids, hunger, climate change, diseases, pollution and killing by Human beings are major facts that have made some Animals to be extinct.
Today, we don't have a place to keep animals anymore in Nigeria. Our zoos are not equipped enough to keep animals; The last time I went to a zoo close to my area, there were no more buffalo and some animals. Also, the hunters are killing wild animals for meat.

Global warming may or may not happen no matter what we do.

In the past, carbon dioxide levels rose after temperature rises. Now that we are dumping large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, it makes no sense that this would raise the temperature of the Earth given you don't have that apparent correlation in that direction. Just as you don't expect the temperature to increase only because people are eating more ice-cream, we shouldn't expect the temperature should rise quickly because of more carbon-dioxide. However, people should prepare for changes in rain patterns and temperatures because climate has changed in the past.
