Father's Love

Hello everyone, happy father's day, and I wish everyone and prospective fathers more years to celebrate.
As we celebrate Father's Day, I will like to talk about the Responsibilities of Fatherhood.
The joy of every father is to be able to carry out his duties at home. Father is very important in the family, a family without a father is not a complete family.
There is a single mother I knew in my street, she had a kid out of wedlock. Right now she's regretting it because she is carrying out the responsibility of a mother and father.
Though, she has a money to take care of her son, but she can't be a father at the same time.
When the kid came from school last 2 weeks, her son said “mummy, where is my daddy?".
When the mother did investigation, she discovered that his classmates came with his father to the school, and said, “see my father".
The 7 years old also thought that he should also have a father and when he got home he said to his mother, “where is my daddy?"
The mother was shocked and she was surprised that he asked for his father.
“Jude, I am your mother, and I don't know where about of your father” replied the mother.
Jude replied, I heard it from our teacher that every child has a father and there is no child without a father. Whenever there is meeting between the teachers and parents, I saw my friends with their fathers and mothers. I have never heard anything about my father, you have never tell me about my father and and I deserved to know my father. Mummy, I can be going like this without a father, I need a father in my life”.

“Ok my son, I will make sure to take you to your father.”
His mother wept that night because she discovered that she missed something precious to her. "I never knew I would fill guilty for a moment in my life over my son. I felt guilty today because of what I heard from my son. I thought I will never need the help of a man in my life because I can afford anything for myself. His father was not up to my standard financially. Though, when I met him, he was very sincere and truthful, but he wasn't financially stable. After I was pregnant, he wanted to do a court, traditional and church wedding with me before the pregnancy became obvious. I refused because he didn't have money like me. Even when I gave birth to my son, he was begging me to marry him but I refused him. I told him, That he can only be a father on paper and not real life because I'm capable of taking care of him. I advice him to marry and leave me and my son.

“Hmm! After he got married, I felt like I lost something precious to me. I called him on a phone that night and congratulated him. I wanted to marry a man that is richer and high standard than me. I mingled with those me with high classes but I was jilted. None of them came with a plan to marry me.

“After sometimes, old men of 50 years and above began to come to me. Majority of them wanted me to become their girlfriend and nothing more. Initially I didn't feel like I need man in my life, but as time goes on I began to feel like man was very important in my life. I cannot go back to the father of my son because he Is happy married. if I have any opportunity to marry her, I will do because there's no man that loved me like him.
Today, my son that I thought I'm capable of taking care of him is asking of his father.”
In the next day, she called the father of the child," Hello Samson, your son want to speak to you.”
He replied, why do you call me suddenly that my son ‘my son want to speak to me’, you told me I will only be the father on paper not real life. Ok! Tell him I'm happy to talk to me".
“thank you."
When he came back from school, his mother said, “my son, your father wants to speak to you.”
She dialed his number, “Hello Samson, your son is here.”
“Hello Jude, how are you doing my dear son? I have missed you; I wasn't around and I lost my phone for long period of time, I couldn't get your mother phone number. I'm sorry my son.”
He talked to his son like that to cover his mother. He doesn't want the child to know that it was his mother's fault.
The son replied, “Dad, it is not good! How could you left me like that, I have never seen you in my life. I'm coming to spend my holiday with you anywhere you are.
The father replied, “ok! I will come and carry you."
Her mother could not say ‘no' to that.
After he wrote his examination, he told his mother to call his mother to come and carry him. Her mother was not happy because he is the apple of her eyes. She said, “is it compulsory to go it is very far.”
He replied, "if I did not see my father this holiday, I will kill myself. I have never seen my father since I was born; I only saw his picture on your phone. All my classmates have a father except me.”

“I have heard you Jude, you will see your father"
She called her father to come and pick him. As at that time Samson was working with big firm. He owned a house he was living and 2 cars.
When her mother saw Samson with a SUV, “did you borrow this car?”
“Why do you mean, is that greeting? It is my car! How are you doing?”
She replied, “Impossible! How comes?”
"That is how God works.”
She wanted him to sleep a night in his house before leaving but he refused.

He took the child to his home with his 2 kids. Jude was happy to live with his father and his siblings. Samson’s wife took good care of him just like her biological children. The whole family went to different event centers, museum and grocery shops. He was loved by all the family.
After the school resumed, Jude refused to go back to his mother. He said I have been living with my mother since I was born, it is time to feel the presence of my father in my life. I'm not going anywhere, I'm staying here.
Jude mother came to his father's house and saw the mighty mansion, she was amazed.
She came to beg him to follow him, but Jude insisted, “this is my father and I have the right to stay with him."
The apple of her eyes refused to follow her. Because she wants the best for her son, she left the son with his father.

She was alone, no child, and no husband.

In conclusion, imagine what she would pass through the moment she was left alone. Her son refused to follow her and she could not marry the father of her son again.

It is a lesson to us that we should not underestimate people. Someone who is nobody today can become somebody tomorrow.
